This was a nice demo with lots of playing and little talking but I would have preferred to have heard a few examples of playing some lead/solo-ing type playing through the pedal.

Warmoth offers necks with 48mm nut width. They call them “super wide.” Personally, I prefer 1 3/4” which is wider than normal, but not as wide as these.

After watching this video, I decided to go with the same bridge you bought. It's for my 2022 Gibson Les Paul Jr.I also have a question, is your tuning stability improved a lot after installing this particular bridge? Because, that's all I'm after.

AC4 is a Single-Ended circuit, AC15 is a Push-Pull circuit. In the first, you have a single output tube that lets current through itself all the time. In the second, you have 2 tubes taking time to each let current through itself half the time. You have less clean headroom in the first, more in the second. All factors that can affect the sound.

The reason why the Top Boost tone stack affects the Normal channel when you bring the Top Bost volume up is because the first 12AX7 tube is used for both channels, and it has both triodes sharing a cathode connection, so some of the sound from one channel is sent to the other. This is an exclusive thing on the AC15C1, as the original AC15 amps used a separate pentode tube (EF86) for the Normal channel.

I would replace the speaker in HB. After that, nobody can tell by listening to the recording what amp was used. HB is fully useable for recording good sounding tracks. Personally I don't like that VOX at all

Funny enough I’ve switched from a tonepros (I upgraded) back to a lightning wrap around, yes stability is a little worse but I love the original look on my 1960’s sg Melody maker

While the neck is significantly wider at the nut than a standard electric, is it normal width at the 12 fret and bridge? Also, will this guitar be commercially available in America?

I agree about the wider fingerboard being a good thing..not a bad thing. Trust me, a wider board is always better than a skinnier board. I ordered and waited almost 2 years for a custom made Mosrite copy..and from the nut to about the 5th fret, the thing is pretty much unplayable. I love everythign else about the guitar. After the 5th fret, it is has the best neck I have ever played. But things are way too cramped in the cowboy chord region. So now, I use it as my capo guitar..or for barre chord heavy songs.

The AC15 vs Pathfinder comparison tends to prove that the speaker can make for 90 % of the tone. The pathfinder is a bit more brittle in the high frequencies, but nothing that a good pedal cant solve.

I did and tbh I prefer the old one. But as far as looks the silver and red knobs look better. But now it’s not about looks but sound. Idk I’m not that thrilled with the newer one.

Agreed. It's high time the pickup manufacturers all got together and decided on a common connection format so that we can easily swap pickups in and out of any guitar we want.

The Antichthon is the best pedal I've ever used with my Vox. Starting with guitar volume at 6, I set the gravity just below the point of where it wants to take off so around 9 and the gain at 1 with the time at 2 and space at 11 o'clock and then use my volume/tone knob to get insanely rich fuzz to the out of control other sounds it can make. Great playing too

Hello! Excellent video. Two questions: Is this pedal a transparent overdrive or one more similar to the TS style? Does it work properly with the amp's clean channel? Thank you
@TheToneLounge
@TheToneLounge 11 күн бұрын
@juanmanuelaloe3774 this is a high gain monster, based on a Bogner ECSTASY. Not transparent at all. It works well with a clean channel.

Great video this, was just what I needed. Tried out an AC10, really liked it, but wondered if it was better to get the “better amp” in the AC15. I think the latter sounds better and has more options in terms of tonal flexibility, but I just want a fun valve amp at home and for recording with the occasional gig, so I’ll probably go for the AC10

Is it necessary to use the knobs with screws or do they make push-ons that work? Sorry, I'm a newbie. Great video though. Thanks!
