Looks nothing how they were depicted on 16 century maps. Arawaks were being called negros or Africans by foreigners even though they weren't from Africa.

Venezuela and Guyana (as well as all countries in the Americas) are territories taken away from the First Peoples...the Amerindians.

This was a beautiful video.. I really enjoy learning about what other cultures eat. I do have to ask... What makes the water that reddish color?

Hey, glad you liked the video. When rain falls, the water makes its way through forested areas. The forest floor is covered with fallen leaves, branches and trees. It is like a tea bag.

I do agree with most of what you said. However, i don't fully agree with the first part of the video. Other indigenous people from around the world continue to practice their traditional ways of doing things without having to give up any part of it and submit to Western culture. They have already forced my people to give up so much already. It's called tradition for a reason.

Thank You Sir. It is time that the Native People of Guyana promote their own culture, traditions and heritage. Also The Native People in the villages should also promote tourism to visit their villages all across Guyana.

At 4:34, the concrete floor of the pig stall looks flat. Wouldn't it have been better with a slight gradient/slant (say 5 degrees) from the centre line outwards? Easier to clean and no poodle of water accumulating on the floor. Or is it better that way since pigs like wet floor or muddy places? It helps to keep them cool and grow better? I wonder if any research has been done on the two types of floor?
