@COCarDude Rob was one of those genuine guys! His voice and stories pulled you into his videos and made you feel like you knew him forever. His videos brought you through a bad day with a laugh and he will be missed for sure, but yea he will live on through his videos for generations to come. Don't put out bad info. Rich is too much fuel. Please correct this.
@CBSMITH81Ай бұрын
You are correct, sort of. The MAF has a filament that gets very hot and cools down based on the flow of air going across it. The PCM uses the temperature of the filament to determine the incoming air volume and then adjust fuel trims as needed. If too much air is flowing, the MAF will cool and send a signal to the PCM to add more fuel to compensate for the incoming air volume thus opening the possibility for a rich condition as the air volumes it expects to see is not present and the O2's report this to the PCM. After the MAF is generally where we find rich and lean conditions but this scenario is possible and takes a keen tech to pinpoint it. Credentials : Master Certified tech with a shop for the last 12 years employing 6 people and having overseen and/or worked on roughly 30,000 cars. Hope this helps you understand this videos findings. Take care
