I was somewhere around 6 when this game came out and played it. IT WAS A SERIOUS BLAST! When I got my laptop when I was 10, I beat BFE and TFE. Glad I grow up with these games instead!

In case y’all don’t know, Roxie’s gym has different versions depends on whether you are playing Japanese version (original) or universal version. Roxie will spell ‘P-O-K-E-M-ON, Pokémon!’ from the universal version instead of (whatever you hear) from the Japanese version.

Love Cheren chose to be the Gym Leader of normal type and also chose the old gym leader theme because after that I was amazed by a new gym theme came from Roxie’s, unexpected. ❤️‍🔥The only Rival to be a teacher in the entire Pokémon franchise so far❤️‍🔥

Ikr, my B2W2 experience with the gym themes was Cheren: "Ok it's the gym theme from BW, pretty standard" Roxie: "Oh shit it's a punk rock version of the gym theme with Roxie singing?? Oh you have to unplug the different music channels until it's just Roxie singing, this is a cool gym gimmick" Burgh: "Oh... this is a thing for ALL the gym leaders" Elesa: "HOLY SHIT??"

This track is so wonderful, it captures the essence of the entire series for me, in two parts: 1) Shredding guitar sounds and blood curdling screams for the endless meatgrinder battles 2) a heavenly, emotional chorus to remind that this endless battle is for the sake of the entire humanity This is what I see this franchise as: not just a colorful goofy fuckfest, but a genuinely dark, epic story, although still rich with light-hearted moments and humor

@@SoberCake Fact! Serious Sam 4 just feels off.. I think Serious Sam 3 had the best writing. It took itself seriously *just* enough while still being funny and had the coolest one liners in the series. Some of the lines have stuck with me even 10 years later.
