0:16口掃頭永遠不要懸空，要稍微靠在牙齒上 0:32 掃咬合面，口掃機身要直進直出，不必隨著牙弓的弧狀甩尾 0:51 咬合面掃到下前牙處，把口掃機身翹起來60度 1:04接著掃舌側。口掃機的機身要遠離嘴巴，要繞著牙弓擺尾一圈（口掃的機身像極了漂移過彎的車） 1:28 接著掃頰側，口掃頭要45度（一半掃到咬合面、一半掃到頰側） 1:38 所以實際上她buccal是從左側出發 1:48無法一次掃完頰側，所以差不多到中線就要換邊（注意她也換手了） 2:01 為了掃好proximal area, 頰側可以蹺蹺板motion, 舌側可以陀螺轉motion 2:42用左手撥開嘴唇，並扶著口掃頭 2:57 掃3到3的切端，注意她右手先掃，然後換左手，扶持手隨時在撥嘴唇 2:14取bite只要掃3～4顆牙，也要掃到牙齦，用板擦motion

Really neat device, but as a patient it seemed faster and nicer on my jaw to get clay impressions as I didn't have to hold my mouth open for 5-10 minutes while they went over my teeth and re-scan certain areas. Though I appreciate that the 3D models can be emailed to the mouth-guard maker and save time with no shipping. It was also neat to see a 3D representation of my teeth, which I had never seen before.

It doesn't work on metal filler or metal dental crowns. My doctor had problems with it and said "I think because metal reflects light", then he sprayed me with some color.

My question is how do you clean this thing? It was used on my last week and all the sudden i got a swollen upper lip and sore. There is no protection on the wand right? Just disinfectant and on to the next patient?

Thank you for your question, Kathy. There are specific cleaning guidelines and disinfecting protocols for the iTero™ scanner. In the United States, the use of an iTero Element™ 5D and 5D Plus series scanner requires the use of a full wand barrier sleeve and clip-on vent cover. Please reach out to your provider to discuss any concerns you may have regarding the use of an iTero scanner.

I like scanners they make works easier, but I hate that the people who use them in mouth use exactly as demonstrated in the video with no oral hygiene measures, specially the dental assistants, they contaminate their hands with saliva and use the same hands to touch the screens and then bring hands into the mouth again and later on clean with surface disinfectant. This is very dangerous for the patients. DAs wear gloves so they are protected and they dont care but the patients on whom this scanning is done has no clue whats happening. I urge this company to include sterilization protocols while they scan into patient's mouth. These latest developments are easing the works of dentists and dental staff but are not very good for patient's oral and general health because of the lack of sterile conditions . Dentist should see the DAs working under their supervision. In most provinces in Canada the dentists are supposed to use it themseilves but in British Columbia the DAs and CDAs can do this procedures. Having working in all over Canada in different provinces I feel BC follows minimum sterilization protocols, this shows the regulatory bodies here who might not be having dentists in their staff might be the reason for poor protocols.

The practice I work in has an iTero but Trios/ 3shape implant studio looks so much better than what iTero offer. It's really an invisalign machine and probably sold cheaper to corporates on a bulk buy deal. I'd prefer a medit or 3shape scanner.

Just be sure that the tech who scans your teeth is NOT a beginner at this or you will get ill fitting retainers like I did and then have to go through the procedure again. The scanner is only as good as the tech using it.

Many people have gag reflex issues with mini panic attacks. I had this used on me for that purpose and it was great. I'd rather pay more and not have that feeling of drowning.

@@lorrainesyratt6317hi! Sorry, I know it's been a while but I have terrible gag reflex and the old school trays give me panic attacks. Did you feel thia scanner was too big? Did it give you any type of issue with the upper back teeth and the tongue? By the video I feel it's huge and I wonder if I'll be able to sit through it

@@barbomb91I'm terrible at the dentist. Cant even handle xrays ... so cumbersome in the back of your mouth. I had no issues with the digital scan .... no panic attacks, no feeling of drowning, no gagging. Night and day. Let us know how you make out. Good luck.

I had this done. At North queen dental here in etobicoke Ontario for a denture for missing front bottom tooth and pulled broken molar. Will gladly say this Lazor is theway to go. New denture looked exactly as missing tooth did. Nobody can tell it's fake and the denture is a perfect firm fit. Highly recommend this procedure and north queen dental in South Etobicoke. And no I'm not being paid or work at the dental office. Just letting ppl know is all😊

Can you please comment on how long the 5D Plus model takes from pressing the start button to login screen and then from login screen to scanner being ready for scanning. Biggest issue we have with the old element 5d is the annoying wait times. The start up process takes soooo long for it - hoping newer version has a better processor..

My dentist says Invisalign will not treat number 7 molar and wisdom teeth.

There's no reason to treat wisdom teeth. It probably needs to be extracted. Number 7 molar can be treated, but it probably would increase a lot the number of aligners.

These are the worst on the market next to dandy scanners inter oral scanners have made huge advances in the past few years.. itero and dandy scanners have and will lose your patient base Very Quickly. Please hear my words. I have nothing but love for the industry that is why I say this
