I was surprised to see the defense played like it was the last defense in the league. So many players caught out of position and not filling their assignments it was a little shocking. Almost every player on D Saturday made big mistakes. The story coming out of camp was that the D was firing on all cylinders when in fact they played like they had a blown head gasket. Im sure it gets fixed yesterday as a point of emphasis. Not worried at all

Minshews inability to step up in the pocket and make a good decision is really alarming. He opts to run. He reminds me of Carr. He plays scared from the pocket and why he’s so quick to run. The other thing is all the coaches see it and know it. I never liked the signing and wonder what TT is thinking 🤔. There were QBs in the draft that came in the mid rounds that have been balling in their preseason openers with their respective teams. I like Aiden and hope he starts flashing! But to settle with Minshew I thought was a bad decision in my opinion ion of what we could have had in the draft that would be much better is confusing so we’ll see..

Minshew is erratic. He threw a pass to TE Harrison Bryant that damn near got him killed. Aiden throws a guy open or puts it right where it’s supposed to be so only the receiver can catch it. Had he done that, you can see the inside receiver on the left come open. Could have been a TD. This is going to be a good year. I have a calming feeling going into this year. Maybe its cause of the lack of attention I paid up until now. I drove from VA to OH to watch the raiders play the browns. I showed up in the last 5 mins of so mins of the game. I looked around and said we are gonna win this. I don't know how i know but i do. Carr threw a pick and that laughed at me. Then we won. Thats the same feeling I have about this whole year. The QB position matters, but not like every fan will have you believe it matters. As long as White is as good as prime-time Jacobs and our D gives up less than 30 points a game lol. We will be going places. Look at all the "elite" QBs and tell me how many SBs they won. Okay, the pass that Tucker had to make major adjustments and slow down for looked like six if it had been thrown to his inside shoulder. But, when discussing Minshew's play, it was described as a beautiful pass. It was a good play overall, with exemplary effort from the receiver. My conclusion from the first game was - I believe in Gardner's ability to go 500 or better in relief, but I don't want him starting. When Rich Gannon says you need to stay in the pocket more, that says a lot.
