Those lures May work a treat in Queensland but fishing the Kimberley’s the best all round lures I find are the 120 10+ classic red and black and the poltergeist 80mm in Arnhem Land I Use mainly Zman 4inch minnow
@Jmssportfishing5 ай бұрын
I have used heaps of classic lures in various colours and been dusted a few times on them but they can be hit and miss. Some days they are the only lure in the box to get a response other days it’s like they’re to loud and spook the fish. I didn’t include them because I feel they can be so hit and miss for me and all them hooks so many hooks lol.

I can’t even buy any of that lure from USA. The chase bait has used to sell lure on the USA and now they stop.

Yes I’ve tried them and didn’t really like them the way I use the standard frog is more looked a fizz from the legs then an actual pop.

My setup is nothing special it’s a lowrance HDS gen2 7 inch. Old as but does the job. Generally I’ll find a spot pull up and do a test drift to see which way we’re gonna drift then reset about 50-80m ahead so you drift straight over were you want. Takes a bit of practice and everyday is different

Hey mate great vids of mates out havin fun, can i ask what jigs are you fellas using and what weights were they, im guessing in around 20m.
@Jmssportfishing2 жыл бұрын
Hey Peter, thanks for the great feedback the jigs we were using are nomad designs buffalo and Gypsies jigs the weight was 120 gram but that really is dependent on the amount of run on the day. If there isn’t a lot of run or wind you can and should drop back to 60-80 gram it’s just a matter of trial and error the depth here was 30 metres with a 1.2 knot drift so we had to go up in jig weight to stay on the bottom longer but at some point you have to bring it up and reset as you get to much trail out.
@peterkirk33592 жыл бұрын
@@Jmssportfishing thanks im just starting out is there any one colour that intices a better bite or is it all about bottom time.
@Jmssportfishing2 жыл бұрын
I personally think it’s depends on fish your targeting and matching the hatch as they say meaning if your chasing red emperor they eat hussar nomad designs make a colour that not only looks like a hussar but also glows in the dark, coral trout will eat yellow tail fusilier if you run silver jigs at high speed expect to get mackerel that’s if your in Australia obviously but but bottom time definitely is a large factor you want to be working your jigs where the fish are and most hits will occur as it’s dropping so be ready

A good day all the same, interesting wind talk nothing worse than flogging your boat out except bashing yourself up..
@Jmssportfishing2 жыл бұрын
Absolutely agree it actually got way worse then the footage shows and the wind speed at the weather station only read 14 knots we have a wave height buoy out there too anand it was reading wave heights of 1.8m measuring from mid wave to the crest which would make it look 2 - 2.5 meters with a gap between waves of 3-4 seconds it wasn’t pleasant at all and was in fact quite dangerous I actually over took a Haines signature 6.8 which are meant to be awesome sea boats and he was in real struggle street
