I'm American and get all my news from "The Guardian" and "Reuters", both UK media. One gets its funding through donations because it knows news can't possibly be trusted if its owned by a corporation. Point is, I no longer trust Americans to report the facts on America. This country isn't a democratic republic; it's a civil oligarchy. And who owns Fox News? Who owns CNN? The overwhelming majority of Americans really are stupid. I'm a C- student at best. I shouldn't be one of the few people who knows the truth. If the country can't keep up with ME, then oh man, there really isn't much hope.

America doesn't say it can do better. It says it can make more money, and as time has gone on, it has pushed for ever more money being made by an ever smaller fraction of society. If the US had really been trying to do better, it would have been leading Europe in things like availability of healthcare, government services and programs to help it's citizens and laws protecting people from brutal exploitation by rich and powerful corporations. Not lagging behind with a huge and ever increasing homeless and prison population.

It’s absolutely amazing how prescient this is. There is genuine prediction, maybe it was obvious at the time to those more informed than me. I was locked in doing the day job in North East England.

its Quixote. There's no K in it. its pronounced daan kee·how·tee or daan Kee-Hoe-Tae with the emphasis on KeeHoeTae. Its a Spanish novel not an American or an English one. You need to do do your research before you try to lecture others on Pronunciation

Mac was wrong - America isn't the country that always says "we can do better", it's the country that has always said "we are the best" and they swear by it: "One nation under God", completely ignoring the rest of the world fgs 🤦‍♂ Sorry for the rant idek if it makes sense 💀

The BS of his statement is that the division is created by the "facts" people receive. People with the money and influence to push their personal agenda are creating the division because it helps them achieve their goals at the expense of the populous.

OK ... it's like this - the Liberals and the Conservatives are both full of shit. This show only attacked the things the Conservatives were full of shit about. Homosexual Marriage - they're all for it. Homosexual Service in the Military - all for it. The Whole Transgender horse shit - all for that. Woke Hollywood brain washing the public - no complaints. This show - acted like it was about truth - but it was only an advocacy platform the liberal agenda. Look at Sam Waterson praising Walter Cronkite for ending the Vietnam War. The US and South Vietnam had thoroughly defeated the Communists Tet Offensive and destroyed the Viet Cong as a force in the war. It was a stunning military victory - which Uncle Walter termed a defeat. In doing so he told the American Public that the war was unwinnable and Johnson gave up. He said "If I've lost Cronkite I've lost the American Public". Then he didn't run again when he could have - and Nixon beat Humphrey. Nixon never even tried - never. The South Vietnamese Government was corrupt - so - the Americans abandoned them - and millions of people died in Southeast Asia at the hands of Communists. Any mention of that? Or how we abandoned China to the Communists and TENS of millions died? How about Obama pulling our advisors from Iraq - the Iraqi Army we had trained and equipped abandoned it's arms and supplies to ISIS - and ISIS went from being a bunch of Terrorists to a military force that was capable of conquering the whole Country? MSNBC - is as bad as Fox - it's just liberalism. They had one of their reporters marching on a picket line - chanting with the pickets!!!!! CNN - which used to be really good - is just scrambling after all the crumbs that are left after Fox tells all the Conservatives what they want to hear and MSNBC tells all the Liberals what they want to hear. Yes - I have no doubt that the country IS more polarized than at any time since the Civil War - but this show did nothing to change that. In the end - it was just another Woke Hollywood Mouth Piece. .

The reason why Americans keep saying over and over and over "We can do better", is because they haven't...for nearly 250 years. They keep standing around, watching their nation devolve into a nation of the rich, by the rich, and for the rich, and do nothing about it, despite outnumbering them 97 to 3. Give us cellphones, and distract us by dividing us into groups within that 97% and tell each other "They're going to ruin America and your lives, your jobs"...make us afraid of each other. When the rich are the ones who should be afraid. But we bury our faces in our phones, while the rich find ways to get even richer at our expense. We can't do better, because we're too f*cking stupid to be that ambitious.
