Cool. You can list the materials in the order that they're tied in, it's called an Organized Material List. You should write it down.

Make a GoPro mount for your bags, please! There is demand. You gonna increase your sales for sure. People use Telesin Backpack Shoulder Straps with your chest packs now, but they are not perfect, your can do better!

I have half a dozen grouse fans lying around and I had no idea what to do with them! Now I do! I was just using the cape and shoulder feathers for legs and soft hackles!

Im here because i was randomly thinking what does the 2 bit part mean when you call a hooker a 2 bit hooker and ended up learning how to tie fishing line instead.

Love the “Flies For” series! So much valuable seasonal information. This fills the large gap left by the 5 flies content which I loved as well.

The largest trout that I ever caught was on the Dream Stream using the Mini Leech that Landon taught me to tie at a show in Denver. Awesome pattern!

These aren’t actually that difficult to tie. I heard from several sources that these were a hassle so I was gearing up for an episode…but honestly, the first one I tied was usable, the second was about two tiers down from perfect. Dont be afraid to tackle this pattern. Especially if you tie a lot of muddler minnows and parachute flies, this will be right in your wheelhouse.

None of these flies are stream specific. Ya gotta tie your own to really fly fish.

My father used to wear flies and spinners on a cotton short-brimmed hat, it didn't have to be for fishing. Dan Bailey's 1989 fly shop catalog offered a "Salmon Fly Brooch" - it is like a fly with the hook with a drop of solder on the point. I've seen some dragonfly-jewelry that looked like it would work for bass if the plastic was made to float and you attached a hook to it. I'm considering something like a size 22 adult midge pattern on my hat and see if anyone thinks that it is real...

Wow what an amazing video. I learned a bunch and got even more confused at the same time. So as someone new to fly fishing ( actually haven't even purchased a rod yet) would it be better to start with learning to nymph first? I feel the the biggest part of my fishing will be nymphs. I know I definitely like tying nymphs way more than dries. 😂
