I had a similar issue with my deck handle not being where the directions said it was, but I didn't have to cut the handle off or drill anything. 2019 ultra cut series 3

Installing as we speak. The video shows the easy parts of putting bolts in. All the time consuming parts and confusing portions are glossed over. No clue what the deflector angles job is intended for. I aligned the plastic flap to the bottom of my deck (scag TT) and now the deflector interferes with almost the entire hinge assembly.

Derek, sorry for the late reply. If you are still having trouble with this please email [email protected]. The deflector angle is supposed to be installed between the plastic blocker plate and hinge plate. The deflector angle helps to block clippings from shooting up onto the operator when the unit is partially opened or when it is opening or closing.

I just installed it on my vride 2 and don’t know why it won’t open all the way up when pedal is fully pressed. It only goes half way and when pedal pressure is released it just closes. Should I tighten the spring more? The spring is already very stretched.

Benjamin, it depends on what year your mower is. If it is a 2018 or older you would need a 45R50-5L. If it is 2019 or newer, you would need a 46R50-5L. You can also use the product finder on our homepage to enter your mower information.

Unfotunately, the deck does not leave enough room to mount the GrassFlap over the discharge chute.

I have four of these over all I really like them. My only complaint is I have broken three of the cables. I would love it if you could make a thicker cable for them.

Will this also work on the Hustler Raptor SDX , it has the open deck and has the brace across the top of the deck.

Yes it will. I just put one on my SDX yesterday. You just remove the 3 bolts and take the part of the deck with the brace off. The grassflap then fits perfectly. Works awesome. It was money well spent.

Is it possible to have it in a half open position? I like the idea of being able to close it but having it wide open is going to shoot grass/rocks everywhere. I think it would be good if you could still keep the original deflector on somehow when the its open. I know they said you can feather it but is it hard to do while operating? Thinking of getting one.

How come my grassflap just shoots the grass out straight underneath the flap? It's not any different than discharging. My only thought is because it's winter time and the grass is thinner this time of year?

put some G6's on her David it will do the job like none were ever there now I have a cam - action cam up to 4K res be expecting videos my new one was good point of view of GF in use. I will be adding some later for leaves was going to try G5's no sense in it bc my G6's still have life on them

Another thing you see why I leave my custom install of my 3M the way I do (NOTE: I did have to notch it with cutters around the OEM chute welds but still original 3M) so it will discharge blowout straight backand exhaust will disperse a lot of it why my right wheel is brown lol I sent you the email Can't believe I have right on 600hrs in a year solo ugh I would be over 1,000hrs without my grassflap #1 and 2nd my JD trash kit
