Doing a study on Biblical technology use sounds very interesting. Also, I like those 2 Starbucks mugs in the background, I believe I have the same red one in my own collection; if it's "California"

Great points Phil, Reverse Classrooms can be one solution. I agree we have to discuss these key topics to ensure our teaching environment is AI reviewed.

So timely that I'm watching this while catching up on all of my work on this Sunday night. Striving to be ready for tomorrow. Spending time I could have spent with my kids but instead I'm at my computer.

You say you "grew up in a freer era". More free for who exactly? To frame this problem as the main oppressing agent for young minds today is laughable. Can you not see that? I do also understand what you're talking about as a problem, though clearly I have a different take on it. Just because you can't catcall someone on the sidewalk or wear blackface anymore without being called out for treating other humans poorly doesn't make you oppressed. Sometimes online cancel culture is completely senseless and people lose their jobs and more for no good reason (unfortunately a real problem). But to see that and conclude that we're living in a totalitarian society bent on destroying traditional values seems to be a classic knee jerk reaction displayed by quite a few people who share a similar background with you (but by hardly anyone who comes from a different background, interestingly enough). I'd encourage you to think critically about your own perspective (where did your beliefs originate, who stands to benefit from them, who/what do your beliefs not value and why, etc...). I hope you are open (as I hope we all are) to learning about other people's experiences and thinking critically about how you impact them. If not then farewell, may your closed mind find peace not at the expense of others.

I like your comment, I think last session and this one about, serving God for our credit as much as for God's glory, and how we self-obsess too much and need to rest in what Christ has done for us.

Thank you so much for this Phil! So good to have direction as to how we can help ourselves and our students "assess" ourselves on what is most important...seeing how God is asking us to show His love to others by loving them! Thanks again!

Thank you for sharing another important message with us Phil. I hope that along with our own private repentence and concessions, we can be humble enough to listen to one another and confess to one another where it is necessary, so that we can also lay hands one each other (in love and not frustration) and offer forgiveness for sins. The church can lead the way in humility and prayer, this is our calling.

"We need to develop in our children a healthy sense of doubt." So true, Phil. Just this past week I had a conversation with my 13 year old daughter on the subject of BLM. She had seen on social media 10-second clips of alleged police violence against a black person. I had seen the original police video where the person had verbally and physically abused a police officer who tried his best to be polite and respectful, then used force to defend himself. After explaining to her "the rest of the story" I cautioned my daughter not to accept anything at face value, but to question everything. Only then can she make an informed decision based on fact and not the biased opinion of someone who wants to convert other's way of thinking... even if it means using deception to do so.
