This "Elevator Short" is better than some of the knockoff versions! This kind of thing happened to me in kind of an elevator/ hospital combination. I did some short term work at a VA hospital and there was this physical therapist I used to see in the different wards that I would make my rounds in. She was so beautiful physically, but she had an inner beauty that she exuded as well, and though I didn't know her, I severely wanted to! I would be on the elevator and she would enter in with her co-therapist, smiling and talking! Other times I would see her exiting the ploytrauma ward where the PT HQ was and I would say "hi" to her and she would say "hi" back! I thought something good was building, a familiarity perhaps or something... I knew that I was several years older than her, so that made it awkward. Younger women of today unfortunately are far more suspicious and mistrusting than women of a few years ago so they're not as easily approachable. I think she was late twenties to early thirties and I was already fifty so... I tried to make it more causal speaking with her in short bursts; a "happy Thanksgiving" or some such, but each time she didn't keep the conversion going and I not wanting to be pushy just let it lie, waiting for a more opportune time, but alas that moment never really came! I left that hospital only occasionally to return, but I didn't see her again. I never even got her name and now I fear I never will!

A nice simple story about a shy man meeting a woman in the elevator. ❤

Really enjoyable short, in a location that is probably the least conducive to opening up a conversation due to the 'creep' factor. Rebecca Laird was really fresh and very attractive in a believable way. Surprised this is not in her listing on the IMdB.
