No question that she is the queen and is one of the most brilliant performers ever. But this performance and other similar ones suck wind. Few of them understand how the six hands work together nor do any of them pay any attention to the overall nuances of the dynamics -particularly PP and PPP. And yes I played this piece before.

And we have to say Happy Birthday to Martha. She was 83 on June 5. One of the greatest pianists in the world. You are LOVED!!

Although I heard her Prokofiev 3rd concert in Hiroshima in 2024, I felt neither technical decline nor musical problem. That was more incredible than that I’ve ever heard.

Martha is a gift from God, a musical miracle. This is the first time I've heard her collaborate with Lahav Shani - a wonderful conductor and pianist who seems to have great respect and admiration for her.
