I learned Iraqi Arabic the same way, except I was in a War. You did such a great job showing people how to learn a language and also explained that you don’t have to have a language aptitude or whatever excuse people use. Great job you should get millions of views because you deserve it.

It's an amazing video. You opened my eyes. But i wonder something. How about writing and reading on the target language ? When we actually start reading or writing on target language in the process ? 3 -6-9 months ? I'm currently trying to learn German . Because of visa and job reasons i have to pass exams like goethe or telc etc.. But i clearly see this method is more natural and proper for me. What should i do ?

31:47 I don't know if I agree to that. I mean, when we try to speak a language, we make mistakes and we are corrected, we learn the correct word and the mistake rate is much smaller. At least that worked with me for English.
@HoraryHellfire13 күн бұрын
The research indicates correction does not work. The reason for this is when people are talking at full speed, their understanding of the language to use comes from what you acquire and not what you learn. Corrections is a form of "learning" in which you store information and have to manually recall it. Most people talking aren't wanting to manually recall every single word said. They want it automatic. So what you can "automatically" speak aloud is what you acquire through input. Corrections don't get in this automatic system, because corrections don't create direct neuronal pathway links to the language that are strong and easy to access. For the most part, the brain self-corrects anyway. The more input you receive and the more neuronal pathways made, the more the brain understands intuitively, and can automatically pull these concepts out with little to no effort.

Being the son of Italian Immigrants, I apparently didn't know English until I went to Kindergarten at age 5; where I was just immersed into the language via being in that Class. Now at 59 y.o., I can speak enough Italian to hold a decent conversation. Some of it in a rather dated Dialect that I enjoy using, lol ! Too, as a kid all the boys picked up a little German, simply by watching "Hogan's Heros"; and being interested in WW2 etc ! Good thing too that reading simple German is "English-ish". IIRC, my Mom said that she learned her English (OMG the pigeon English like "the backyarda" & the machine becomes "la mashina" !) by working in a Sweater Factory, where the Boss put her to work with a group of American women; rather than other Italian girls. I'm going to try and use some parts of your Method to learn Latin; but I won't be able to travel to Italia circa 200 A.D.

I have an honest question for you thats totally off topic… 9:22 your left eye. I have that too. Has your doc given you a reason for it? If not, are you feeling well or does it feel like you’re dragging, short of breath, sweat a lot etc? After literally 50+ doctors, i have been given only 2 reasons…a tumor behind the eyelid and what i have…hyperadrenergic postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (HyperPOTS) which is insidious. It slowly disables you. Since this was 5 years ago, thats why i am asking how you are feeling. If its just a birthmark, FANTASTIC! But if you aren’t feeling well, have your doc check you for these. I would have loved someone to tell me to have my eye checked as a symptom of these conditions 5 years ago. Maybe i wouldn’t be bed ridden 90% of everyday now had i known earlier. Sorry if this was out of place or too personal, i just don’t ever want anyone to suffer like i am. Praying its just a birthmark
