Yes, there is a lockout feature. Everything that you need to know is in the manual, which is available online. I think many people don't bother reading it.

Do the words on the control panel eg. control lock, cook time, start time etc and numbera.. light up or illuminated....I know the digital clock does... I bout the LSIL6336F Induction and they do not.. no one at LG can answer for me if they do... if not hard to see in my kitchen due to the angle of the lights.

Yes, but not as fast as in the convection mode. I think it keeps the heat more evenly distributed and helps the oven warm faster too.

@@dougmary it has no lower bake element, which largely is the reason shit burns on the top and is raw , uncooked on the bottom. LG even left the holes in the cavity for the lower bake element, but because they decided to re-invent the wheel ( not required) they just dont ship this model with a lower bake element. You get a fan and smaller element at the back to assist with baking. You will enjoy relearning all your recipes and doing math. Forget everything on the boxes for instruction.

According to the owner's manual, the knob lighting feature isn't available on all models. But maybe yours has a defect, especially if you can't read the dials in normal light.

there is a lighted ring on all elements but the oven knob, however it is not very useful to see the markings on the knobs. One goes one way, the other goes another for hi low settings, 3rd burrner, 2nd burner etc. The markings are terrible. The led ring should have lit up the dial markings with laser etching like a backlight keyboard does. Was under-engineered for common sense and usability.

Yes this was disappointing. I have since moved away from DeWalt and gone more to Makita and Milwaukee. Much of both still made in China, but I have found both to be more dependable. Thanks for watching!

@@dougmary well I have a mix of brands because every brand offers items that others don't. So I have every brand for every need. When every brand go on clearance I'm there.

That's good information for people to have. Some credit card companies will double a manufacturer's warranty. Might be something to check in to.

@dberman5 I ordered a new led display. Around $100. Didn't get a chance to install it yet but hopefully it will correct the issue.

The stovetop is great, depending on the cookware that you use. I'm not getting rid of cast iron pans, so scratching is to be expected. Occasional cleaning with a manufacturer recommended product (available at Target, etc) does well at keeping it shiny and clean too. I can't say much about air-frying. I really never understood the need for it, but I'm just old-school.

@@dougmary Thanks! I a leaning towards a basic oven and I will buy separate appliances. My research (since my last response) shows that the add-ons such as air-fryers rarely work properly, when combined with an oven.

So far it is holding up well, and that is with occasional use of cast iron pans. The stainless steel outer rim of the stovetop is getting scratched since pots and pans are sometimes slid across the top of it, but I think that is a relatively minor issue and occurs with almost any stainless steel surface.

Still working fine, although I just got a call from Maytag saying they wanted to replace the heating element "preemptively" to avoid problems that they have seen with some units. Scheduled next week. I was somewhat impressed, but they have likely seen some claims or lawsuits for water leaking damage, so want to eliminate the problem.

Go used, go older, the older units are more reliable and clean better, the Whirlpool powerclean generation was one of the best to be made. I can attest to it I own one, it’s an 05 and runs like new ive never heard such a powerful machine in my life other than that dishwasher. This included the Kenmore ultrawash too, they are the same machine. Now, it doesn’t offer stainless steel, unless you find a rare Kenmore elite which did come stainless in and out, but if you’d like something more modern looking stainless inside and out, the truth is that it’s hit or miss because all new OT newer machines come with electronic controls, mainly the faulty ones. It just depends honestly. The best I’ve heard of is the Maytag jetclean top control from 2014, or any WP point voyager series machines. Stay very far away from LG and Samsung, they need to just stick to making TVs…Bosch is a great choice but some of them are lemons. The truth is nowadays, within the last decade too, dishwashers have taken a very far decline in reliability and performance. If your sick and tired of replacing machines, get a Powerclean. If you don’t know what they look like, here is one of the final generations of them at the top and the older models below it, and the kenmores are identical. These do have electronic controls, but they are the classic ones that don’t give out and fault they were built to last. If you are saying a one-half horsepower motor, then it should work. That is a short duration need, but will still drain your battery quickly with repeated use.
