I'm a HUGE ninja turtles fan and love this pattern. I made Michaelangelo because he's my favorite. However, I don't care for how the long pieces are left hanging down...do you know a way to make it look tied without looking all messy?

Jade crocheting is so fun! I would just start by learning the chain stitch and single crochet 🧶 I have a few very beginner videos but not many! I will definitely have to make some new how to videos 🩵🩵

Yes it definitely should. All yarn is different and sometimes the machine doesn’t like them

Oh no I am so sorry! You start with a magic ring then make 12 double crocheting into that 💜🩵💙 if you are not sure how to make a magic ring. You can chain 4 and connect to the first stitch making a ring. Then make your 12 double crochet stitches into that
