I literally cried your whole video! Knowing there is hope has me feeling a little better! I was super sick back in March where I almost died and started losing my hair when I got outta the hospital after a month on April 2nd. When I saw how much you lost in a week, that is me now and I’m just a little over three months in! I used to have a LARGE amount of beautiful curly hair and have lost about 75% of it and now look like I have been on chemo! Thankfully, I’m a nurse and can wear scrub hats at work but can’t wait for the day when I see my shedding stop because even after all this time and the 75% of my hair lost, I’m still shedding large amounts 🥺 I can say it’s beginning to slow a little by the difference in the pics I take as I don’t keep the hair like you did, which now thinking back, I should have!! I do take some of the supplements you mentioned and then some other as well as the Vegamour gro+ products and Divi as well! I just need and want my hair back so so bad because I used to love it so much and am to the point where I feel like I’ll be bald soon

My hair loss began because of medication I was taking for cluster headaches (and I suspect because of the stress of the headaches). I stopped the medication to try and stop the shedding. Before I could recover from that I contracted Covid pneumonia and was in the hospital for 3 weeks. About 2 months after recovering from Covid I began having massive hair loss. My hair was not real thick to start with so the massive shedding was very noticeable. That was 2-1/2 years ago. The one thing that I think has made the most difference for me is one thing you didn't mention trying and that is the irestore light therapy. I also cut my hair into a pixi because I didn't want to have to worry about the hair I was losing when trying to work out tangles. Just the cutting and layering of the hair immediately made it look thicker. And within a few months of starting with the irestore my hair stylist said she could see loads of new growth. While watching this video, I was thinking if I had to take all those supplements, I think I would just shave my head! LOL ... but that's just me. I'm just glad the irestore is helping and I don't have to take all that stuff or shave my head 😉

Your post is the most relatable I’ve seen yet. I had Covid very beginning of October. Mostly fever and all over un wellness. No cough or congestion. I noticed my hair coming out in the shower in mid November. Like you I have thick hair. It was growing too,almost to my waist. I noticed something wrong in the detangling. My hair would mat horribly and detangling was a nightmare. Mid December was the worst. Just as you said about brushing and I too have a gallon size bag full of hair. I eventually had to cut my hair to my shoulder blades to cut down on tangles around Christmas. It’s Feb 8th and it’s at my bra strap. So it is growing but continually falling out. My appt with the Derm is on Feb 14th. When you showed the amount of hair you have now,that’s just like me! When you pulled that big bundle of shed hair out,I gasped! Why am I gasping when I have the same huge bundle of hair?😂Anywho,it did make me feel better to see someone who went thru the exact same thing that I’m going thru now! The only thing I can contribute to my rapid hair growth is all the crap I’ve been using. Bosley shampoo,follicle boosting serum,Pumpkin,Fenugreek,Castor oil,supplements,RevAir hair dryer and handling my hair like a newborn baby! I’ve definitely learned a lot about my hair from this experience. And I have a heck of a lot more empathy for those who have and will go thru this or any hair loss!🥲

That is a very good observation. I have had some hair loss, though not as bad as some people. I am coming out of it now. I had Covid end of september into early october but I was whacked out tired for a month after. I notice it more around the temples and have a calf-lick in my fringe which is sticking up more because the fringe has thinned. But it is thinner all over. My hairdresser says she sees new growth coming in. But I still get a panicky feeling whenever I see a hair come out! I didn't see things much in the shower, I have fine hair but a lot of it and it's naturally light blonde so I don't always notice it when it drops. But I emptied my hoover (I have one which collects the debris in a drum) and there it was! Like cotton candy! For years I took my hair for granted. I was thankful for it, but I always thought it would just always be the same. But now I know I must look after it. I've upped my vitamins and am so much more aware of what I use on it. Like you, it has opened my eyes to what other people go through. Lesson learned.

Can stress alone TE? My hair is naturally as thin as yours after your hair loss and NOW mine has thinned about 75% so as you can imagine, I am currently seeing LOTS of scalp. I saw a dermatologist, and she mentioned TE, but she also mentioned alopecia, but this has all happened within about a 7 week period. I found out right before this began that my mom had terminal cancer and would die within 6-12 months so I believe that was my trigger. So far my lab work has all come normal except my vitamin D level. I am so frustrated and also depressed by this.
@lechatel
@lechatel 4 ай бұрын
Stresses of all kinds can cause TE. A psychological shock can do it. The answer is the same...up your vitamins to help you cope, Psychological stress badly affects the body. I know because when my dad was diagnosed with terminal cancer many years ago now I didn't lose hair but I developed shingles and Epstein Barre. I think it is highly likely to be TE. Up your Vitamin D level. The reason people get this after the have had Covid is partly because Covid drains your Vitamin D (and Zinc). So really make sure you get what you need. A magnesium supplement is excellent for helping with depression and good for your hair too. Take care.

Thank you SO much for posting this. I had Covid for the first time in September of this year and about three weeks ago, my hair started falling out in clumps and I didn't make the connection because I thought it was due to being in my 40s now and having hormonal changes happen. I was searching YT for hormonal hair loss videos and found this. When I had Covid, it turned into pneumonia and I was SO sick, I have never prayed to god before, but I was praying daily. It lasted for a month and I can't imagine the stress my body was under trying to recover. Thank you thank you for posting this. I feel so much more hope now!!

Be careful with consuming copper or any dietary metal over time and/or in large amounts as it can lead to toxicity and PROMOTE hair loss. What works for one person may not be a solution for the next.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience!! I have been going through this since I got covid (July 2022). At that point I think I had lost 20% of my hair. When the shedding started to get a little better I suffered two sequential spontaneous abortions in last than a year (8 weeks and 4 weeks pregnant), which was already devastating, and of course turned the shedding even worse. Now, I think I should have probably lost at least 70% of my hair. Decided to get a big chop as well! Keeping my eyes and heart on God and on His promises has been crucial. We sometimes need to go through things like this to start to value what really matters. I used to have a beautiful long shiny brown hair that was hard to pull up on just one ponytail (beautiful volume). I’ve changed so much since this all started! We must try to keep a positive mindset, despite the pain and the negative emotions that try to convince us that it will not stop. I’ve just started to notice less hair falling off… It has been more than a year! Thank God I am alive and it is just hair🙏🏻 It will regrow back eventually 🥰 Sorry for any grammar mistakes. Mother tongue is Portuguese 🇧🇷🥰 God bless you all 🙏🏻

I lost this much hair after Rona too, but unlike you, I had about as much hair normally and you have during TE. My hair is very thin and space normally. I got bald literally. I cut my hair too ear length because I wanted to shave it off completely. I used men's minoxidil 5% typically and regrew everything and then some. Took me a year to see the recovery.

It's so freaking devastating. I had Covid last November, 11 months ago, and it's so frustrating when people say that Covid isn't real because not only was it terrifying not being able to breathe for a week but I lost 40% of my hair in the three weeks after I was sick with Covid. I would be sobbing in the shower with clumps coming out. For the last 11 months I've been able to see my scalp and I'm probably not even halfway back to where I was. Like I've had maybe 20% of my hair come back. People don't realize how absolutely gutting it is to lose your hair all of a sudden. Especially when you feel like that's one of the best things about you. 😢
