First time in my life had I ever been happy reading your comments with such hopeful stories. It was last January 22, 2022 that we had the NT Scan with my wife. Upon reading the impressions, I was so devastated to ready the findings that my baby has Nuchal cystic hygroma (10.3 mm at 12 weeks) with not clearly visualized nasal bone. I made a research about the implications of these findings and that only strengthen the fear I had before. This fear is not for me, it is for my baby---those thoughts that what if, we may give him/her a good life until he gets to certain age but who would take care of him if we are no longer around to watch for him. Surely, time will come that I and my wife be gone. But here I am, still grasping for any hope I could have for my first baby. I want him to have a normal life, a life that he can stand alone when he reached at certain age. I do not test for it.. it wouldn't change a thing for us if it were positive. And my sister had it done 7 years ago with her daughter, came out positive. They offered and even encouraged her to abort. She didn't! And her daughter does not have down syndrome and is perfectly healthy, smart, and normal

I was told to have a down like 1 in 3 chances. My son nuchal was only 3.0 at 12 weeks. and in 20 weeks was 3.6 or something. I did NIPT test and got a low risk result. Now my son was born and he is perfectly healthy. Trust God everything will be okay.
