You've got the 1st gen MX2320, which was crap. You need the updated 2nd gen version, which has a red nut on it and no notches on the sides and remains the best tool for this application. Also, ditch the plastic housing for the OEM metal one.

Just make extra sure it on all the way give it a good few extra whacks before using the breaker bar for a final removal. Shew!😉
