Avoid Caravan Guard for insurance. I had my motorhome Warwick duo auto sleeper stolen even though it had alot of security on it more than asked. It was packed for a 6 week trip but day I was due to leave it got stolen. I was so upset I was suicidal. But everyone said your insured don't worry. Then the insurance made me wait 4 agonising weeks to get back to me about my claim. They now just phoned and my policy has been voided and they won't pay out!why? Because they only insure vehicles kept on driveways which are attached to the side of the house. Even advisor I spoke to previously said where it was parked by my home in a parking space/driveway at end of cul de sac between 2 houses seemed OK and safe. I've lost over £55k!!! I can't afford to replace this. I sold my house to buy the motorhome. I'm in rented accommodation now. Why does it matter where parked as long as kept secure.If i was away it would be parked on the road. All they could suggest was to put a complaint in and phone the samaritans because all this stress has made my anxiety so bad I'm now on tablets and feeling so deeply distressed. I live in a small village😢

Wasn't sure to get a net gear or a starlink as were currently in Cumbria and really struggling for wifi, starlink is expensive but if it works?

@@chrissey663 as long as you have a clear view of the sky Starlink will work. I have 5g on the van but can see the different for Starlink and for some much needed. Plus you can start/stop the monthly subscription which helps

Saw our sticker on your garage door... loved the test gave a good comparison. Seemed very simple to set up. Everything through the app.... typical of trying to film something . It works fine every time till you try to film it.. then.... decides it needs to do an update. A few of the sites we go to have no phone signal so starlink may be the way to go.

+@nutsontour morning yes really simple to use and fast speeds and connection (as long as clear view of the sky) only annoying bit is all the updates it does when you switch it on. Defo worth the purchase, I’ll show you next time and see you if you have not already purchased.

Also can you put anything down the loo? Loo roll, sanitary products etc? I assume it isn't fussy with what it incinerates?? 🤔

+@leannearnold8326 as soon as you press the green button to drop it will start the incinerator process. If someone wants to go while it’s incinerating once you lift the lid it stops so safe to use.

+@marcel9688 thank you it certainly is some excellent piece of kit but after a good testing it is 100% worth the money. Yes took the advantage of having a underslung gas tank added - was going to do this anyway for longer overseas trips but makes sense with the incinerator also.

How do you this it would perform by putting it on your roof through your skylight. Only asking because on a busy site like you said you won’t have room and I’ve not seen anyone try it. Could you try it 🙏👍👍

The roof antenna with a decent 5g or 4g+ router should be as fast if not faster than your phone . The router and antenna can aggregate the channels used to connect . Often described as cat 20 or cat 22 you can achieve up to around 3.8Gbs download speed . Phones , though fast , don’t have this capability . That’s why nighthawk , and other cat 22 mifi routers are expensive . Loved your vlog . Might be taking advantage of the starlink deal myself . I was in Scotland recently with crap mobile phone signal .

We stayed next door on the c&MC site and I think it has the views 👍 also I can't recommend E&P levelling highly enough..you are absolutely planted and there is no movement in high winds.. definitely something to consider as you are tall.

Hi Leanne, certainly looks like a nice C&MC site and caters to the longer vans. E&P is on the list to be installed and I've only heard good things about it, but the Cinderella has to be installed first the countdown is on for this 👍

Can not fault the way your team member dealt with me very professionally and thought all the questions were very thorough. A shame the quote was more expensive than another provider (and no constraints) but you never know in the future our van may become insured by you at one point. Keep up the good work. James

Also, people don't realise that fully comprehensive cover doesn't necessarily extend into Europe! we read our small print and sure as sh*t there it was..."third party cover only in Europe" luckily we didn't need to claim but now we ring them up and double check we are covered fully comp before we travel over. We had trouble insuring our hymer with Caravan Guard due to value etc and they wanted us to install CCTV and Bollards!! ...we decided not to and went with Camping and Caravan Club instead.

Good point always got to check the small print for sure. I think this is why its better to speak to someone at the end of the phone so you can ask all the questions. Luckily we have fully com in Europe as well. Interesting on your own experiences as well with Caravan Guard.

Totally agree I was shocked on the speed of 5g on my phone but I agree the black spots is where Starlink will come into its own so will soon find out or even just a 4g area where speeds not that good. 👍

we have stayed there a few times heading back down to camping Raco over the next week from sunny Anglesey ,we will stay until end of November .its a great clean site , never any noise at night after about 11pm as not many kids then through the winter. your video was good showing they have decent sized pitches , our motorhome is 7,5 mts & never a problem. every where is clean & well kept & maintained for a big site
