I saw the FF’s in Denver last night at Mile High Stadium. Dave said it was the largest crowd they ever played for in the US. (86,000 people) It was one of their better shows lately and they played their asses off. Later he was talking about Taylor and how much he would have loved being there and he said that he felt like Taylor was there with them. It was almost shocking to hear because Dave hasn’t really talked about him on stage too much. Dave is a tough dude, but he’s still crushed by the loss and probably always will be.

@@patton303 that’s so sweet and I’m so happy you got to experience that 🩷 he talked about taylor when I saw them in phx last year, that a certain thing makes him think of taylor and then he paused and said “well I think about him all day anyway” ❤️🩹 I know they play Aurora every night in honor of him. I’ve seen a lot of videos of him talking about him…keeps the memory alive. I hope he’s healing as much as he can 🥲

I'm a new Foo Fighters fan (got into them after recently also getting into Nirvana and Dave Grohl my beloved) and learning about Dave and Taylor's friendship has given me life Then I find out Taylor died and I had to have a cry man These two are the definition of platonic soulmates

@@trustinsynchronicity , if you are implying that Dave had something to do with his death then you are unaware of the facts. Rolling Stone magazine should be sued into oblivion for their purely evil fake article trying to pin Taylor’s death on Dave so they could get people riled up and make more $$ at his expense. They are disgusting. And people still believe it. I am not going to say what I know as his family clearly does not want their private matter discussed publicly but I can assure you Dave did not kill him / ie he did not die from exhaustion or being “overworked” by Dave or being “forced” to take a vaccine he took willingly which also had nothing to do with what happened. Sigh.

@@thelovinglunatic The disturbing way Dave laughs when he said when Taylor woke up from his first overdose. He said he told him "everything /you will be alright" or whatever, but Taylor replied "F off" and Dave didn't take him seriously. Taylor was kind of weak not to assert his needs in spite of Dave laughing at his feelings. The reply foreshadows his fate and no one listened nor considered his need for a break.

@@trustinsynchronicity I’m not sure what you are talking about love. He cried recounting taylor being in a coma in the back and forth doc. He sat at his bedside for the entire 2 weeks waiting for him to wake up. That aside, I’m not sure why people keep on infantilizing Taylor… If he was that exhausted I think he would have taken a break, he would not have continued touring with Foo Fighters and then immediately jump back on the road with Coattail Riders, Chevy Metal, NHC and do a million studio sessions as soon as he got home. And ride a bike everywhere. That is not behavior of an exhausted person IMO. Additionally he had the money to take a break if he wanted to…he was not beholden to an abusive boss and stuck living paycheck to paycheck. But exhaustion wasn’t the issue. I know that for a fact.… that said I’d check out Taylor’s solo projects if you haven’t. But I’m not going to pretend I know him because I don’t. I just was told about some of what happened and it wasn’t dave overworking him. I’m not going to have this argument anymore… no hard feelings or anything, in fact I think you are just trying to stick up for taylor and I admire that very much. But it just breaks my heart how that Rolling Stone article made people believe Dave didn’t love him when he did. Blessings

He was just crying 'cos he was afraid to lose his slave. And I read this about him? No, I watched several youtube videos about how for example, Kurt Cobain questioned his own decision to work with him, and another drummer that got away, said that after sweating away at recording drum tracks for an album, Grohl just erased it all and played the parts himself. You are only seeing his public persona. Believe me i have experience with the false selves of narcissists. The way he said "your girlfriends can't have you now that you're mine! I love you i love you!" Do you not see how sick that comment is even if it was just affectionate.?

I keep watching this over and over wishing Taylor was still here to be Dave's BFF. They were wonderful together. I lost my BFF five years ago and I can relate to Dave's sorrow. RIP Taylor. 💔 😢

Ya know, I’ve mostly been late to the scene my entire life. I’m responsible with time and respectful of other’s time. Not in that way… that way, I’m golden. I’m the one who waits until I feel it’s right. Don’t care what “the craze” is… (yeah, I’m 52 now, hence “craze”)😏 My point is I’m just learning about Dave Grohl being in Nirvana, or, obviously, being a drummer. Quite honestly I couldn’t have named the singer of Foo Fighters a month ago. Now Taylor and Dave are the first Taylor and Dave I’ve ever known. This, I can narrate, I believe… Dave, Alpha, All knowing, brilliant, bursting with everything! becoming soul mates with another man, Taylor, who was just as talented as Dave but had underlying “insecurities” he was rippling with for many years. I believe Dave has those same, very similar, “insecurities” in which he chose to deal in a different manner. I know there are demons abound in the story, but I absolutely adore these guys. I’m beyond condolence, in certain terms, but my experience has been recently real to catch up. Looking back, I was extremely blessed to have not realized Taylor had passed after watching so many clips of the band, Taylor and Dave…. I mean I was devastated 2 weeks ago, maybe. My whole life has been this way. I think I broke down bc I needed a job, had no place of my own, and got a cell phone. I was not happy about it, I know that. Year 2000, I believe. Side note: Which is ironic AF bc in 90’s my dad had a Ford Branco. It had a phone with the pig tail cord (landline in car). I’d pretend I was talking at red lights. It wasn’t “hooked up”. Never was. Lol.😂 Anywho, I love their lives, their story, the realism, yet absolute goofy bs… Man, I really appreciate being able to experience what I experienced thru f’n KZfaq! KZfaq, don’t you dare turn!
