That is just beautiful.. when u started i couldn't grasp the concept of it but as it became more and more layered it started to transform. I really love this, thanku very much ❤

I notice you can pop one color over another and it doesnt act transparent. Pricey paint or ?
@ElleByers12 күн бұрын
Golden is definitely a high quality paint but in general, some colors are more opaque than others and you'll get a feel for that the more you paint.. Try mixing a little white into a translucent color and it will help make it more opaque.

Hi Elle, what is the name of the first blue you put down? was it Phthalo Blue? I can't see the colour listed in your materials list. Lovely painting - like to give it a go!
@ElleByersАй бұрын
The dark blue is actually Payne's Gray and the lighter blue was Ultramarine blue. Here are the colors I used: Ultramarine Blue Payne's Gray Indian Yellow Hansa Yellow Medium Titanium White

What brushes are you using? I am very new at painting and need some good brushes.

I like Princeton brushes and I also use Liqitex Basics brushes. I don't buy expensive ones because I'm not always great about taking care of them.

Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity in sharing your talent. I recently attended a "free" online workshop but she would only tell you how to actually paint the flowers if you joined her course for $500 !! Your youtube videos have really helped me thankyou!

Are you using transparent or opaque paint?
@ElleByers2 ай бұрын
I'm just using regular acrylic paint - Liquitex Basics. Some colors are more transparent and some are more opaque. It really depends on the color.

Hi! Unfortuntely, I can't share this one on Skillshare. They have a lot of rules/guidelines about what can be posted over there and this one would not be accpeted because it doesn't have a propr into and some other things.

Elle, you have the most beautiful brush strokes, I'd love a lesson on you style of brush strokes. I see you use liquid acrylics. Do you find you have better strokes with them rather than heavy body paint? That;s what I've been using primarily.. Thank you for posting your videos.
