@@faithrobin6124 don't work for crossmark for less than $14 an hour I'll tell you that. They tried to hire me for 12 bucks an hour and I told them no. I worked for them for just under a year. They just need a warm body to show up and do the job like everywhere else. They give you more grace in the beginning because they know that you're new. I had experience the merchandising for another company say I use that for leverage. I work for Anderson merchandising now but that one is super fast pace, probably twice as fast as Andersen some days during busy season. Negotiate pay before you get hired because these merchandising companies may or may not be telling the truth when they tell you that they do raises. I worked for Advantage Solutions for 3 and 1/2 years and they only gave us a raise when they cut us in 32 hours a week down to 28 hours a week and took away our benefits and told us to sign up for ObamaCare if we wanted it. You gotta fight for your rights.

Agreed. I quit my job last week because the boss wanted me to do 5hrs work in 3 hrs. I did work for 3 people. She knew I was going to leave and tried to keep me from leaving. I was afraid to add my time with her to my resume because I knew she would bad talk me to my next employer (she is petty). I did good work and all the other vendors knew that. The day I resigned, another vendor asked me to work for them. I start with them tomorrow and am determined to continue my same work ethics to the new job. I want to show up the old boss. 45 minutes is crazy. It took me 3 hours to finish one of my stores. It wasn't a Walmart but I was by myself and not trained appropriately so it took me a while to do it. Then I got yelled at for taking to long. I was about to quit right there and then but he called back and apologized. I already am not really liking this job and especially the pay loss I took definitely wasn't worth it. I'd rather go back to production CNC machines. I made $5 more an hour and yes I had a supervisor who was a dick but idk what to do cause my friend got me the job and I'm not liking it. He was telling me you can move up fast but I talked to someone and they said they were merchandising for 2 1/2 years before moving up. I can go make $20 at a CNC shop easily cause I know how to run a machine and am not entry level anymore. I'm like a schedule 1 machinist or something.

I don’t mind merchandising but in my area they pay like a dollar more than minimum wage. Y’all are asking for too much for such a low hourly pay. With that pay I’ll give the bare minimum, & no I won’t be “outgoing”😂 I won’t make enough to eat so I won’t have the energy to. I was interested in the job but they didn’t mention the pay until the interview. Hard pass, because I know other merchandisers that pay more.

I was just hired on to crossmark and this makes me want to stick with my other employers. I do not like jobs that require you to complete a job in a set amount of time. In merchandising you run into a multitude of issues from bad management/communication to stockrooms being a complete disaster. I prefer resets or new store builds. At least I know that my time and effort is appreciated and respected!

@@GingerGilligan You clearly have not been in the know of what has been going on for the last two years and especially the last year if you can ask that. It's an employee's market right now and they have the ball on their court. People are tired of low wages and dictatorship corporate heads so there's an uprising. They are leaving in droves for better work opportunities hence why there is a massive shortage of workers, especially in historically low wage jobs. If these retail people are going to fire someone for going over 45 mins with their low wages and unrealistic time constraints then yes it's laughable they'd fire someone as they'd turn around and realize no one else is left because no one wants to or has to work for that bullshit anymore. No one would use them as a reference anyway so it doesn't matter if they fire. Literally no impact as there's so many more opportunities out there. The company would just be shooting itself in the foot. Just telling it like it is.
