It never ceases to amaze me just how comprehensively and lovingly these cars have been restored to the condition they were in when in service across the pond - the Fairfax, VA unit leading the way looks especially sharp :) It also furthers my desire to finally make the jump and buy my own when I can get the chance!

Correct, they buy the cars in "as is" condition at the time of retirement. I got mine direct from the department. They're not bothered with removing the equipment or livery if it is going abroad.

You only have to view the clip once at the start to realise the 🔕END in the van wearing stupid flip flops is at fault. He should be banned for 6mths and put on a driver awareness course. He has no driving skills what so ever and couldn't care less for other road users which his attitude shows straight away when he exits the vehicle.

You would think the one car they would be willing to get repaired is a CV. Even if they import parts, they can get them for pennies on the dollar lol. 😂😂😂 they are everywhere in the states. It would be the cheapest repair they can make.

Sadly this was in the UK. The importation of parts is very expensive due to the size and weight. The car barely had any damage from the collision though, and parts won't be needed.

@@yeoldeseawitch Well it doesn't really matter what you think or care about. The law is the law and my car does not come within an inch of breaking any law. In this country, posing as a cop is when you have the battenberg livery and a blue lens lightbar on your vehicle. It is common sense that a black and white 5.5m long LHD car is not a law enforcement vehicle in the UK. "POLICE" also is not a trademarked/reserved word and can be used freely on any vehicle.

To be exact mate, there are around 106 in the UK. Some of those cars are SORN which means legally off the road. I sometimes go to large events with the other police car owners. You'll see 40 of us together with our lights and sirens blazing in Coventry in June this year.
