Your son is a beautiful boy. I hope he is doing well. My boy is 1 year 8 months old now. He plays with the wheels of toy cars just like your son since 12 months old. No matter how hard I tried, I could not manage to get him to play like normal kids do. It takes quite a few calls to his name before he responds. However, he is pointing out objects of interest to me and looks in the direction that I point to. Bringing him to a pd who specializes in ASD next week. Keeping my fingers crossed.

My best friends youngest son has autismn. When he was about 18-20 months old he was laughing and saying single words etc. and everything looked normal. With about two years he stopped talking from one day to the next. Since that time he never said a word and lives in his own world... He is a happy and relaxed sweet boy. He reacts on yes and no but everything else he don't understand... He is doing crazy and sometimes dangerous things and you must always have a eye on him... There was one amazing situation. My friend has three dogs and three cats but he never reacts on them. At that time we had our beloved giant baby girl crazy Daisy a big St. Bernard Mix. She loved kids and she felt that something was different with him and tried to comfort him. When we were visiting her he always came cuddling Daisy and they were unseparable... Sadly Daisy passed away in August 2019 cause of cancer...😭💔💔💔💝💔💔💔😭. He was always looking everywhere where she is and was sad that she wasn't there and looked at me like hey where she is.... One year later we adopted a new dog who was found at a dumpster in Greece. We didn't know at that time how he looked cause they hadn't pictures we only knew he was a Border Collie Mix and black and white like Daisy... The day came were we could pick him up and we were shocked positively cause he looks like a little brother of Daisy... That was ment to be... We were visiting my friend the first time with Marley... The dogs were playing in the garden when her son came out and his face started to lit up when he saw Marley... He ran to him and touched him one time and he walked away knowing it wasn't Daisy... I was often trying to play with him but he is not interested in playing he is doing his own stuff... One day I was wearing a necklace my husband gave me the day before with a portrait of Daisy... When he saw the necklace, he was sitting on my lap, he got very excited and happy and was playing with it he knew exactly it was Daisy... We made the same necklace with a portrait of Marley but he made one look and went away... One thing is emphathy and often people with autismn have a lot of it but a photo ??? They really look very simular and people often don't know who is who but he knows...

My son is 22 months now n god knows I had already seen some of the signs wen he was like 13-15 months old but tried to console myself that it just could be normal baby signs. He started walking individually at 17 months so I thought he is a late learner n so probably his speech is also late. However, back in my head these signs never went off n recently met with pedia neuro specialized in asd n my god, he did confirm that my boy has asd symptoms😢 but it was quite early to give a complete diagnosis and the most important thing he told me was that our early intervention was the best decision ever as a new parent. It’s hard to accept that ur completely normal baby cud be having something like that. Anyhow, now he is under care n probably would be out of that spectrum soon 🤞 I want my baby to take care of himself even after we are gone😔.God I wish he has a normal healthy life ahead🙏

I noticed the same behaviors with my 19 month old daughter. So about a month ago I decided to take away screen time completely and replace it with a lot of face-to-face interaction (play time, singing nursery rhymes, books, playgrounds etc.) A week later she started making eye contact and 2 weeks later she started to respond to her name. She also stopped spinning completely as well as shaking her head. She also used to hold on an object on each hand for a big part of the day now she rarely does it. She still lines up certain toys that are alike but now she’s more busy exploring the house and more interested in books and is constantly coming up to me gesturing songs with her hands (ex: twinkle little star, baby shark etc). She imitates the gestures that I do as I’m singing to her. Oh she also started to high five. It has been a month now and she has made so much progress. Like I She still has no words and doesn’t point to show me things but she is now starting to point if I point. So now I’m confused if it can be autism or screen induced behavior since she stopped majority of the behaviors after a month of no screens. She still has a long way to go since she is not where she is supped to be at her age. Unfortunately, she was exposed to screen time excessively and not having much interaction with me or people and I just feel so guilty.

Are you seriously using the word " technique " with a 1 year old, and most of those are typical 1 year old practice, you're over-exaggerating based on fake science.
