The older I have gotten the more I realize the emotional and aesthetic feeling that one must have to appreciate a watch. If you get that “feeling” when you put the watch on you know it! Forget about the movement and the bracelet etc., it’s the dial and how the watch feels on your wrist that matters. If the sub gives you that feeling it’s the one for you, if it’s the seamaster then that’s the one. Don’t talk yourself out of a watch based on specs or trends or what other people say. Go by how you feel when you look at it on YOUR wrist.

Omega all the way. Rolex is eye-catching, since every celeb has it, but comes nowhere near to the beauty of Omega Seamaster. Specially the iconic 2531.80. Also, Omega is more accurate, as you mentioned -0, but that doesn't matter that much, both are very accurate. To me, bracelet is way better on Omega, fits better on my hand, like silk.

I actually prefer the Omega clasp. I have both and the reason I prefer the Omega is you don’t have to take the watch off. So easy to adjust while driving. Overall comfort they are pretty even. I would give the edge slightly to the Rolex though. Mainly because of the taper. But the Omega is still super comfortable. It’s my do anything watch. Plus I love the white dial black bezel.

Just about the best comparison I have seen. The only plus point to the Omega that I can see is that it comes in blue. Oh, and it has a display case back if that's a preference.

Have both but initially purchased the 300m. Rule of thumb, don't settle. You will always be wanting a Sub no matter what.

I love my Tudor Pelagos 39, and I love the entire Pelagos line. My only contentions with this piece: I wish the dial and insert, like the 42 OG, were matte black; and I wish the hands were as bright as the markers and insert. Hopefully, Tudor's fixes the lume issue, because you will be able to get new 'service' hands during service. Nonetheless, the hands are still potent; I am able to read the hands throughout the night.

Love this video. Great camera quality and it does justice to this watch.... I'm really considering this over the new one. Prefer the 20mm lugs, the green lume and more vintage look and bracelet... only down size is the lack of anti reflective crystal, but... no watch is perfect

there is a point I don't understand. The accuracy of Omega is 0-5, which means you can expect just your watch might go faster in a long run. I own a seamaster, and sometimes, it even doesn't have any deviation. on the other hand, the accuracy of Rolex is -2 to+2. it means that your watch is less predictable and might go slow or fast!!!!! so, from this aspect, it is clear that Omega is more reliable and accurate. I wonder why no one pays attention to this important fact and just says Rolex is more accurate!!!!!!

My 114270 is easily my favorite Rolex to wear because it's relatively affordable, has a classic tool watch looks that's low under the radar and comes with the more modern features where they're needed (ie. solid end links, reliable 3130 movement and sapphire crystal). I liked the idea of the 124270's ez link, so I installed an aftermarket extension link (similar to a mini divers extension) inside the clasp to give it an extra 5mm of extension when necessary during the summer heat. I would never pay almost double for the 124270, which is more of a luxury watch.

Omega. To be honest I don't see any beauty in the casing of the rolex watches. They all use the same flat simple case as opposed to omega putting so many details into their cases. Basically you are just paying for the BEZEL on a rolex watch.

I have both (black dial SMP300 on rubber and sub 124060) and I could never choose one over the other. They're just such completely different watches. Sometimes I crave the SMP and sometimes I crave the sub. The one extremely important thing that you left out at around 10:22, especially how you keep bringing up "for everyday wear, for everyday wear", is the massive target that Rolex paints on your back when using it as an everyday watch in an everyday popular city like London, Los Angeles, New York City, Bellevue, etc. I think that is a HUGE con that works against the sub for everyday wear. I work in downtown in a large city and there's just no way that I could wear a sub everyday in the city due to how many times ill get scoped out and eventually robbed. This is something that you need to take into consideration when choosing a Rolex as "an everyday wear". And if youre purpose for the watch is for everyday wear, but you cant wear it everyday, then that's the biggest con of all. So if its your one watch that you want to splurge $10-14k but your office is in a major city, do you really want to be worrying about that? Im very blessed and fortunate to have various pieces to choose from but for a single watch owner that wants to wear something nice to the office everyday, its something that needs to be considered. Same rings true for travel. Unfortunately, the subbies legendary iconic status works for it and against it (pretty massively). This is something I never have to worry or think about with my SMP on rubber when traveling or going into the office. The "freedom" of wearing the SMP is a huge pro that i feel you missed (especially considering you keep harping on everyday wear). Otherwise, great comparison video 👍.

I comfortably decided to buy the new 41mm Bluesy because I was able to buy it at retail from my good local authorized Rolex dealer. Current retail price in the US is $15,600.00 My research also showed me that used Bluesy watches are selling for a lot higher price than retail prices.. To easily tell the difference between the older 40mm and the new 41mm Bluesy is the new model has "white fonts" on the dial face while the older 40mm model has "golden/yellow" fonts on the dial face. By buying the new model I saved money by not over paying. I also got the better and newer 3235 movement with the 70 hours reserve running time compared to the older 3135 movement with just 48 hours reserve running time. The 3235 movement has better accuracy of +/- 2 seconds per day compared to the 3135 movement of +/- 6 seconds per day. You decide which watch fits your needs better.

I own both and the Omega impresses me more, but the Sub impresses more strangers ….
