There is no transition out of oil and gas. Do you know what sh*t the IEA is telling nowadays? That there will be a peak demand for oil by 2030. Next major crisis will be ENERGY ARMAGEDDON. This sector requires massive constant financial influx to keep operations going. Once reserve depletion is in terminal phase for the US (max. 10 years from now on), people will have their lives greatly affected. My view is that the dollar will be trashed and will have a meteoric fall in value. Using the term ESG is in itself a political thing (=declaration of political positioning). So my view is that right now we are seeing the all time low in oil prices, at least, where will the next ATH be, we don't know, but this will happen. You if want to understand the direction we are heading into, go and listen what people such as Eric Nuttall, Sean Pruitt, Arthur Berman have to say.

How is it possible in the example of Amazon that Beta is only 1.2? If you look at the past 20 years of returns of Amazon it has apparently considerably beaten the S&P returns. In fact, you calculated an expected return of 79% based on Amazon's past returns. So, why ist this fact not automatically reflected in Beta? A Beta of 1.2 means that if the market (in this case S&P) goes up by 1% Amazon goes up by 1.2%. Conversely, if Amazon's expected return has been calculated to be 79% then, based on the Beta you gave, one might think that S&P has only a slightly lower expected return, namely around 65% (i.e. 79/1.2) but that's certainly not realistic. So, where is the mistake here?
