Hi it require diagnosis i can't tell what is the problem but first try to remove the shifter cable from transmission side and check the shifter movement

Unfortunately poor design. The new one has a different design completely which solves the premature failure problem. I'm about to replace mine soon, not because it failed, but to reduce the chance of engine failure.

Quick question, is this your veichle, and what are the signs it needs to be replaced, i get an occasionally rattling when stopping, i do want to change rotors and pads since they are 5 years old. It is driving me nuts, I have noticed a small oil leak, but I noticed last time i did a oil change i didn’t put the filter on tight enough and it backed itself off some and it was barely tighter than hand tight. It comes and goes I notice it more when my foot’s off the gas and i’m just rolling down the road at 25-30 mph as im applying the brakes sometimes, i also notice a little loss of power when the AC is running

@@tigerfreek2001 is your brake pedal seem harder to press to stop, that is supposed to be a sign is failing, or oil leaking from bottom of pump. This is my daughters vehicle she planned on purchasing, and I was doing research for her and this is basically only detrimental issue with the motor (besides auto industries bs direct inject design with no wash for intake valves). A lot of people and mechanics claim due to lack of oil change. I recommended to her to use full syn changes at 5k instead of 10k, especially since she has the larger motor with the turbo.

@@philscott9405 I run Ow-20 Mobil 1 extended performance, change at 20-30% life. doesn’t seem harder, is the pump near the pulleys? It sounds like my noise is coming from passenger side which could be a tensioner in thinking or maybe just change the belt it is going on 5 years old this month

A pressure sensor fails in the module gm said the cause is from the the brake fluid level being too high when the calipers are retracted so the pressure sensor sees the pressure is too high because there is no room for more fluid in the resivour so the pistons stop before going all the way in and when you manually get the pistons in the rest of the way that damages the pressure sensor. I was told buy techs at the chevy dealer next to my shop you can also cause damage to some of the vehicles if you press the brake pedal to the floor like trying to pump the brakes after a brake job rather then retracting with the scanner so they remove the neg battery cable so they dont do that by accident and if the battery cable is off its ok to pump them up just be sure they are fully pumped and dont forget to do the relearns after

How many converters does a chevy spark have? My mechanic said there's 2 but I think he's mistaking the resonator for a converter. I mean Ive seen only 2 o2 sensors which I would think means there's only one.

The mechanic is responsible for this failure. Results from manually screwing in either rear caliper piston while servicing the brakes. the sensor pressure sensor inside the EBCM is irreversibly damaged , requiring replacement
