A month later, Paul Gilroy would give the Holberg Lecture -- also a real gift and well worth watching. As is the case here, not just deeply intelligent but also such a lovely presentation style.

Personally I don’t care if white people are in nature spaces. As long as they keep their racism to themselves and allow me to enjoy nature in peace👍🙂. Same goes for other POC who keep calling me a “coconut” and a “bounty bar”just because I am a brown person who happens to have an interest in British Wildlife🤯. Those who do call me such things are also racist and need to keep their racist views to themselves 😌.

Well strictly (physically) speaking, when we switch off the light, there is no color - in the sense of object produce a specific color by absorbing and emitting different frequencies of light. If there is is not light, they don‘t -except for the black body radiation, which is on a different „color“ spectrum. 🤓

Caroline Finch was one of my favorite musicians in the 90s. I will look into her work post-Linoleum. I am all for music that is serene and beautiful.

Love that Paul mentioned my weakness for the DADGAD tuning... too bad they didn't include the music performance with Cora Gilroy-Ware at the end of this event. It was a wonderful day.

I enjoyed this very much. I saw the Hastings exhibition of Victor Willing's work and watched 'Secrets and Stories' around the same time. Wonderful personal insights from Nick Willing here. Many thanks. I am sorry to hear that shortly after Secrets and Lies Paula Rego began a decline that would have made the film impossible - but am so glad that the film was made. I am looking forward to seeing the Paula Rego exhibition at The Tate that will open in a few days. Thank you for this interview.

Very awkward to watch her fight through the talking of the work, might have been a possibility to have her record everything she wanted to say off camera and play that over the video.
