The way I see it, the post was made to show that they were able to train their cat to go inside the trap without setting it off to slowly become acclimated. Over time, you can push the bowl further back. My indoor Norwegian is currently outside, and we came so close to trapping him 6 nights ago. He set it off too early and escaped. The bowl was all the way back. My cat is fairly long in size(tall?), so I think his hind legs/back prevented it. 5 days later, and he's back for food. I'll start to do this exact process over the next few nights. 😼
