When it comes to sighting in snooker or pool or billiards it has to be done the same way. Robbo, Williams, and O'Sullivan all approach differently but all 3 have the same thing in common. How the head comes down onto the line of aim because the actual line of aim is found from a standing position. So the whole head must come down on that line and that's where different chin positions come from it is a result of maintaining the line of aim as you bend and bring the head down onto the cue not from a dominant eye as both eyes are used to bring the head down properly on the line of aim.

Cue hold and pull back quite close to Ron to be fair. But his control of the follow thru is far superior. He seems to maintain cue angle height to cueball and still pushes thru straight blended in with the elbow drop. Yeah no. If you get my drift. Just concentrate on your own timing and follow thru bud. We all manipulate in different ways. Enjoy

Dominant eye has nothing to do with the vision center. Many people has been fooled by dominant eye theory. Vision center is the most important and very individual aspect. Being right or left handed just stands on the essential foundation, which the vision center.

Hi admin..do you know how to measure someone of his eye dominant?
@nuntana2
@nuntana2 4 ай бұрын
Hold hands up together at arms length with hole in the middle and look at an object with both eyes sighting it in the centre. Then close one eye at a time, one of them will throw off the image. The one that keeps the image in the centre is the dominant eye and the one that needs to be closer down the line of the cue > cue ball.

You are partly right, but not completely. Find a Sightright coach near you, they will help you find the right aiming line and stance. Just because you are right eyed dominant doesn't mean your sight is right below that eye, When both the eyes vision meet it forms a different line. Ronnie and Mark Williams had their Sightright training and changed their alignment and the way they aim.

No system - just on that day you put the cue on the line you saw and cued straight! - Most of the time it is slowing the action down so you can deliver it with ease - To prove it, pop long blue from bulk line to corning pockets as a dead straight pot - There is no reason as we can all see the angle/line (no system needed) - but we still miss !!!!! It is about delivering that cue straight which means nothing jerky to pull it off - Another great test is a line up but now just trundle the cue ball through each shot - no stuns or screws - and you will be amazed at what you can pot, because you see the angles correctly and even put the cue on line most of the time, we just pull it off line because we are trying to get position. - HOPE this helps :)
