I've tried responding to waywaywaywaywaytoong but even though I send my responses they do not appear. It's clear that that person does not get it and I can clearly see that wayway.... clearly doesn't get it based on the contents of the comments posted. That person just doesn't get the fact that it is perfectly okay for Ricky Gervais to say that he does not believe in God and to explain that he does not believe in God because when he asked for evidence of God nobody provides it and there is no evidence of god. Of course I'm not the one avoiding the topic at all and wayway should really stop lying. Of course I never told the person I'm responding to that he or she said anything about rights I did mention that Ricky has every right to not believe in god. I know full well that some religions are definitely run like Colts but of course that's totally off topic the topic is Ricky not accepting the existence of God because there is no evidence that God exists there is nothing ignorant about Ricky gervais's statements but the person I'm responding to seems to be displaying ignorance of what Ricky is clearly stating is true for him.

This is so 2006. I like Ricky thought this point of view would bring us closer to heaven on Earth, but it actually brought us closer to hell on Earth. None of us are perfect, we ALL need someone above us to look up to. Who though? You might have good parents who you could look up to. But they’ll die, you’ll become a parent yourself, then who do you look up to? What about those who don’t have any immediate family member to look up to? What about those who have no one? What about the best of us (who still being human are far from perfect), who do they look up to? Who do they put above themselves and how the knee to? In old times we would hope to have a wise and benevolent king we could all look up to and bow the knee before, but all men are corrupt and corruptable, especially when bestowed with that kind of wealth and power. I believe a king does not have to be living in the flesh for us to take the knee. There is a reason Jesus is called “the king of kings”. Kings throughout the ages took the knee before Christ, flesh long dead, and for good reason. Everything we love and value was built by men and women who proclaimed the king of kings to be above them, to live their lives in service of him. I think we all need a father and a king, a role model, a perfect example to try and fail to live up to. If Christ isn’t your king, then you are outside of his kingdom, and it is absolutely certain you will consciously or subconsciously find other kings to rule over you. You could even take yourself to be your own king, taking the knee for no one. That is worship of the self, in my opinion this means you’ll be controlled and enslaved by your innermost carnal desires and likely won’t even be aware of it. Christ is king, the king of kings, all are welcome into his eternal kingdom, all you need to do is deliberately take the knee and proclaim it so.

Atheism is also conflated with disagreeing or rejecting an entire belief system and its morality completely. That's not the case. Rejecting the belief in a God doesnt stop you essentially living what is a Christian existence, with a moral structure intact. I know plenty of Atheists who are more moral and kind hearted than a lot of devout Christians. Atheism isnt anything to be afraid of. Cults and cult-like mindsets are the ones you need to be wary of.

This question can be answered easily: first of all, God didn't create the world with suffering. It, at first, had no suffering or wars; but Adam and Eve rebelled and then sin got in the world, creating suffering, discomfort and much more. God gave us free will, so, if He just removed all suffering, He would be an unfair God, because people chose it, and if He removed all of it, it wouldn't have been free will.

God may or may not be in existence but I will not believe in any god until I see real hard evidence proving the existence, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to shit on what other people believe, I just ask that while I don’t say anything stupid or offensive about your religion that you do the same about my beliefs, just because I currently do not believe in any god due to lack of evidence, it doesn’t mean anyone has the right to hold prejudice against me for not believing in their god, like Ricky says in this clip, there are a lot of potential gods that many different religions believe in, none can prove existence while I am aware I can not prove that they don’t exist but that means there is nothing that proves either way and until that day comes I will continue to live my life the way I so choose to live it, with the mantra, if you are nice to me, I’ll be nice to you

Well, we do know that “nothing” can’t create something (The Big Bang). Evolution (Macro) is pretty much a religion that requires even more faith than most, as it’s mostly bollicks outside of natural selection within a species. We also know that DNA is written codes of information that means a mind had to be behind the writing of “the code of life” to infuse the intellectual design. Sounds like it takes more faith to be an atheist than a theist.

The big bang theory doesn't say that all came from nothing. Macro evolution has a mountain of evidence for it and is literally observable but I bet you don't even know what it means. DNA is a chemical sequence and is modified RNA that itself had been observed to form naturally. To say that there HAS to be a mind behind it is an argument from personal incredulity. The be an atheist, which has nothing to do with any of the above, takes of course ZERO faith.

Agnostic has nothing to do with what you believe, so prefacing your beliefs on god(s) with "I'm agnostic" does nothing. There's agnostic theists and agnostic atheists. Safe to say that every single person is agnostic because nobody "knows" for sure.
