You should try out QIDI PA12-CF, or Polymaker Polymide PA6-GF, they both have low warp additives. I haven't done much with Polymide but I use the QIDI stuff a ton and even parts that take an entire print bed don't warp at all.

@@JustCuzRobotics I like printing the QIDI PA12-CF, but I haven't had good luck with its durability. It's what my side guards are currently made from and I've had them crack on impacts with the wall of the arena (when I'm flying around after a big hit)

my vert is kinda similar: a HTPLA weapon subframe mounted to the tpu chassis - it works really well!!!

What keeps the weapon blade attached during vertical hits? It seems like with Radix upside down, a big vertical hit to the weapon would pop it off the bearing and disable it, but I must be missing something. Also Radix is awesome

Shhhhh, you're not supposed to tell people major weaknesses of my robot! :P Just kidding, this is an issue I've been working to solve for a while. In old versions of the bot, I would loose my pulley long before the weapon was close to coming off so it wasn't an issue. With the newer versions, the aluminum spacer is threaded to provide additional support for the weapon on axial loads (big vertical hits). Recently, I switched to alloy steel screws to hold the weapon on which are stronger than the screws I was using from Lowes and bend less on big hits. For finals, I am considering a few options to reinforce it because a big hit from Eruption or Kitty while I'm upside down would definitely still pop the weapon off. Right now I am looking into using binding barrels (threaded tubes with a screw head on one end) that thread onto the alloy steel screws from the top of the pulley.

Sandwiching a rigid part around/into a TPU frame is something I haven't seen before. Might have to use that in a future robot. Thanks!

I won't have video or bot making resources for the next year so I will not be uploading again until next July. This means I also needed to outsource my robot. Thank you to Caden Korzan, Owen Cokley, Scott Cokley, and the University of Dayton's Redline Robotics team for helping me make the needed parts for Radix V5.0. You'll see me at Finals on Dec 7th!

+10% damage from shiny weapons. In all seriousness, putting in the effort to polish it is one of the best decisions I made for Radix

Awesome recap. You do a really good job of explaining what to me looked like a controversial fight. Any chance of a bot breakdown? I have a belted undercutter and thinking of switching to geared so I am just wondering what other roboteers are using.

Yeah, I will look into putting one together! Belted undercutters are definitely tricky and my weapon mount is pretty cool. (At least I think it's cool)

FLOPPY FORKS! Great fight. You and war hard both showed me some major improvements I needed to the drive, those are weeknesses have now been removed. Also I guess I didn't realize your weapon failed in the end. It was such a close fight, amazing job and congrats on qualifying! -Paige

That's the reason I made it in the first place. I wasn't seeing a lot of edits or montages and sometimes you just need something cool to show to people who don't watch robot combat regularly.
