There are dozens of organizations that run HPDE events. One of the very best is: nasane.com/ They love newcomers, and have great instructors. You can check all the HPDE events out at: www.motorsportreg.com/ Just sign up, make sure you read and comply with their tech inspection sheet, and show up. It is loads of fun and addicting. If you're driving a faster car like a Corvette, best to replace brake fluid with hi temp racing fluid, and replace the pads with racing pads. Stock brakes are no match for a racetrack, but you could probably get away with them for a first weekend to decide if you like it. I'd be glad to fill you in more if you want.

Hi Nick, was great talking with you too! You're going to love the T1 bars. I have the rear on the middle hole, and when Phoenix did the suspension setup, they left it that way. I got the solid racing style end links, and the nylock nuts kept coming loose making it noisy. So, I got longer bolts and double nutted them, problem solved! Hope to see you in spring! Steve

Just found this, hello from the other yellow C5Z in front of you on the cool down lap. It was nice talking to you that day! I just acquired a set of T1 bars, so next season should be a lot of fun!

Nice car, I have an 03 Z and have run the main course many times. Your losing time with all the downshifts. Try leaving it in 4th gear through 3,4, 9 and 10. C5 Z06 has plenty of low speed torque to get you of those corners just fine in 4th gear Also your entry to 4 is late and slow, try carrying more speed on entry, you can safely get through 4 at close 100MPH, With the improved inside curbing at 4 you can rub up against it now for a better line into turn 5. Thanks for the feedback. I'm going to bring up the track map and watch the corners you mention. There were 3 wicked fast Porsche race cars, and a C7 Z06 that the guy was really wringing it's neck. Fun!

Hey Steve...nice job for first time at summit. I'm curious...any chance you got some footage of the second morning session from Sunday (think it was around 10:30am) with my car (black 350Z) in it. I always try to find some footage from other cars...gives a little better indicator than in camera of how much the car is/was moving around. If not, no worries. Thanks.

Ha, was hoping nobody would see this circus but family...yes it's a stock c5 z06 with a Corsa Extreme. This was the fastest run of the day, beating 6-8 C7s, c6, and a c5. Also beat a lot of ice racers with super light cars, one tube frame car had a Maserati engine. I'm happy, only my 2nd season doing autocross. Wicked bumpy.

that was my 8th lifetime track day, 6th in the Z06, all at the Glen at that time. The car is on Michelin PS2's. I'm way slow in the esses, so would hate to know actual lap times, lol. The stock seats are like sitting on a pile of couch pillows, have to hang on for dear life, and can't feel the car starting to let go--just installed evo 2's and harnesses, all the while thinking I should switch to a BMW now, but the car is good overall, hoping for better feel now. Looks like a lot of fun to get to the point you guys are at!!
