Sounds like you have them inverted, for if you mount the pedals upside down. There should be instructions for that if you download the wheel manual. Eg. For the Tmx, the light should be orange, not green. For the 248, it is an option in the display. Hope that helps

Everything is default. I am running the widescreen patch to make it 16:9 rather than 4:3, and I captured footage at 3840x2160. This is standard game graphics.

If you're being serious then go into the garage and select the "easy" setup. That balances it so it doesn't lean left. It will make you understeer really bad in corners though. So you just have to learn to countersteer in the straights as they do IRL

It came with the pedals

I'd ask Thrustmaster support (twitter might work for that), but in games you can often set a min and max on pedal input. Just set the max to a lower angle. It's a bit of a weird issue to have these days, so hopefully tm can help with that.

It almost looks like John Watson in the 1983 McLaren... but the F1 cars were going round in under 1m10s by 1983 - and the track is totally empty. And even by 1983 standards it looks small and basic for an F1 car. I someone shaking down an historic model - or is this actually an F3 car? Don't suppose you've got a link to that video too?!

It actually is an f1 car, and I think you’re right in it being Watson. I slowed the inset video to match revs for pace. It’s the best way to show just how accurate the track was. I was unable to get hold of a Ralt onboard lap.

Yes it is Watson.... just after I'd asked I noticed that as you fade out the real life footage, the shot changes and you see John Watson's red and silver helmet @ 1:36 I also guessed you'd had to slow down the lap... too much of a coincidence he'd done the same laptime. Especially, as, even for a F3 car, it was a tad slow. In my prime, I could manage 1:24.3 or so, on a good day! Fascinating video. Many thanks!

The mind really does some crazy things, too. I swear every racing game I played in the 90s had photorealistic graphics... But when I play them now? HAHHAHAHA On a console I would probably agree! But I preferred GP2 on PC by a long way overall. Though I spent waaaaay more time on F1GP on Amiga than anything else.

@@RaceSimCentral I liked GP2 too especially the car engine audio and the car damage. But back in the mid-90's to get a racing sim to run anywhere near 30fps (never mind 60fps) on max settings you needed a Monster PC which was super expensive back then. I think sim-racing developers could learn a lot by looking back at old racing games in terms of presentation. UI design, HUD design Video intro, in-game commentary etc. Imagine if GP2 had all the official TV overlays, driver pictures and Murray Walker doing commentary. It would have made GP2 instantly better and a more immersive experience. There is a mod for Rfactor1 and Automobilista1 called Grand Prix Evolution. It has all the F1 cars from Geoff Crammond's GP1, GP2 & GP3 with better textures. I can run GP2 in AMS1 Maxed-Out with 90's F1 TV overlays via SimHub. It's really good.
