There are touchscreens on the wall outside most of the platforms you can check train congestion. The color code is different though.

In Sydney they have those sort of indicators in the public transit app - you can see what loads are like from about\ an hour in advance - So you can do something like see that later trains are getting full, and so decide to leave earlier

Isn’t this in a country with a) access to public restrooms and b) the social decorum to keep common/public things clean? As someone with vertigo and germaphobia - this is heaven.

I went to an Amazon grocery store (yes like the website) in London. There's a subway station style electronic ticket entry barrier but to get in you don't need a ticket, you need to pay 1 pound. There are no cashiers or check out or registers. Shoppers just put everything they want to buy in their basket and or their own bag from home. Once done, the store know what items you got and charge you when you leave the Amazon grocery store with br card you paid 1 pound. If you buy nothing the 1 pound is refunded.. It was at that moment, i realize I'm the old guy that thinks tech went too far, where's my cd player and beeper?

KLM is not supposed to be a low-cost company. Why don't they have screens?
@benrgrogan
@benrgrogan 21 күн бұрын
On short hall they don't have screens because it's fairly pointless when customers have their own higher resolution handheld screens - also on short hall, they pretty much compete with the budget airlines, so they don't have much money to waste on screens
@user-ri7vx6wc7o
@user-ri7vx6wc7o 21 күн бұрын
@@benrgrogan If they wanted to compete with low-cost companies, they would make a low-cost branch. Many of them do. Recently I hopped on a short flight with screens on Turkish airlines.
@benrgrogan
@benrgrogan 17 күн бұрын
@@user-ri7vx6wc7o They don't want to compete with the budget airlines, they just do, because without it they'd get no customers due to the dominance of budget airlines in wester Europe for Short hall. Turkish Airlines are in a different field for the legacy European carriers. They get less competition from the budget airlines and focus more on the big Middle Eastern Airlines such as Emirates and Qatar. Like those middle eastern airlines, Turkish airlines is also subsidised by the Turkish government which helps them to offer a more premium service. Even with that said, a lot of their short hall fleet doesn't actually have screens, it's very dependent on the route.

Wow this is really cool both in anti-covid situation, just when the button is dirty or in case you are carrying a lot of stuff and they're is just no place to put everything But it can be annoying if it isn't adjusted properly because the lift is gonna jump from floor to floor non-stop
