I have a SE 29 and a 29 cult. My other two 10 speed 29ers are easier to get them up. Lol but I can adjust the gears with a flick of the wrist

Gullwing split axles on Turner Summer Ski with Kryptonics green 70s, bad ass slalom board; one my faves. Shogo Kubo blank, Indy 169s with Krypto Blue 65s. Denver and Boulder in the late 1970s. Had a friend that lived close to the Kryptonics mfg. and we'd ocassionally raid their 3yd. dumpster for the cosmetic defects they'd toss, including skate blanks at that time

HolyMichigan, I just tried to wheelie with a SE Ripper with the 36T sprocket & 16T freewheel. It was difficult just to get front off 1 inch. Your video was the 1st about gear ratio. Thanks alot.

Yes, I feel great 👍 I do 8 miles of wheelies every night with my family. It's hot here and I don't care for full sun when it's this hot. Lol I feel great, sleep great and the family is blessed. Skateboarding does seem to be dying though. I miss making more videos though.

@@ProdigalSuns8 miles of wheelies! . I wish I could do that. We've been slack on skating too. But hope to get back into it in spring. It's winter here in NZ You might need to hit up some minis or try some other parks to spice it up. Where was that spine ramp you used back in the past.

I would use Thunder bushings on Thunder trucks otherwise you change the way they turn due to size difference. They make some 94a and 97a bushings. 100a as well.

I just started in my 40s - I got a 8.5inch alien workshop complete skateboard. You recon I should go bigger still if I struggle ? I'm not bothered about kick flips, or tre flips or other high risk strategy tricks, just having a laugh. I'd love to learn to kickflip at 50 though (I'm fit and healthy)

I skated from 88 to 95 and the boards all were made with concave and I loved them , years later I got back into skating and ordered a new board and I couldn’t believe that it had no concave and was like skating a tooth pick 😂 thankfully I was able to find some descent boards later on but man what happened? I mean Rodney Mullen pretty invented all street skating tricks on a freestyle board he did transition to a little bit bigger boards later , I’m old school bro 😎 all about the concave dude 🛹

I am leaving the skatepark at 11am. It's just too hot & humid to skate after that in Texas. BTW I ordered a Life Skateboards deck based on your recommendations. Had them make a 10" wide knife shape with a 16" wheelbase.

From So Cal, rode the hell out of my bike of choice back in the 80's 'Redline" I did it all on a bike. Now that I am 58 and have not been on a bike in years, watching these videos has been giving me the itch to get back on one. Not interested in wheelies ect ect ...although I did get on a friends 26' and rode a wheelie all the way down the street, I just want to cruise around and get that exercise.

I use indy hollows with a very low riser and its the same height as my avenue trucks without a riser,no way i could ride avenue without hard or medium bushings

New esk8 board arrived and I just wanted to "test ride" it a bit around the neighbourhood; two hours in of fun riding I stopped to tighten up the kingpin bushes, the board went forward and I went backwards. That was seven weeks back, the plaster just came off from my right arm three days back... wear gear!

Thanks for this brother - I havent skated since the late 80's and early 90's but I've got 2 little girls who're obsessed with it and want me to join in. I'm a big unit and worried about smashing myself so I'll be limiting my riding to using cruisers in the bowls - hopefully the muscle memory is still there.
