2 rakes of wagons? Was one half just left on the branch halfway up? Presume full train too long to run round at the docks? Can you run round on the branch?

Gosh I used to stand at Hendon Grange junction in the 60,s so much traffic to the staithesand on into Sunderland ,Villette road sidings ,wearmouth freight yard , if my memory serves me well early evening a Pacific would run light down to I think Brian mills mail order depot ,also York races brought quite a few specials through with predominantly Gateshead and York engines ‘also anybody out there remember Saturdayafternoon summer timetable turn via Sunderland ,mostly York A1turn originating from Filey holiday camp and Scarborough ,plehase correct me if I am wrong.
