Dear Archer aero, the first harrier jump jet had a lift flap under it belly. It could help your aircraft get more lift. ❤

Looks like another training and maintenance nightmare, mostly from the small market and 'specialist' brand of both operation and maintenance personnel. Another EV toy for the ..., well ..., ?

This is an absolutely stupid design! What a scam! These swindlers should be behind bars!

Trying to out-think outfits like Bell is no small goal I get it that they are trying to add redundancy, smooth out the lift distribution and attempting to reduce current draw; however there's a LOT of additional drag associated with those 12 appendages that will definitely impact range / duration performance. Good luck
As always, the major hurdle is the endurance of the battery. Will there be a corded model?

So, what - a 30 minute duration electric airplane? If I took off in my gasoline powered aircraft with 30 minutes of fuel, I would be breaking Federal Aviation Regulations for minimum fuel requirements. This airplane has to declare a fuel critical condition before it takes off. Sorry, you’ve got a loooong way to go.

Вы совершенно правы, пока энергии не будет хватать хотя бы на 3 часа работы, это будет очень опасная авантюра. Я думаю, что вряд ли кто-нибудь даст разрешение на коммерческую эксплуатацию таких летательных аппаратов.

What an inefficient concept. The aft engine produce a lot of drag in horizontal flight!!! Look at Lillium, that is the way to do it!!!

So the front rotors tilt, for forward thrust. Why don't the rear rotors tilt as 'pushers' also? Or is that the eventual plan?

I know it's a flight test, but over time wouldn't it be better to reduce the number of electric motors due to energy consumption? Please post more test videos with telemetry.🥺.

Have you changed rear lift props from two bladed to four bladed for this test?
@ArcherAviation3 күн бұрын
We are testing several different propeller configurations throughout the course of our flight test program to maximize performance, while minimizing noise. We will continue to do this to gather flight data from as many different maneuvers, environments and configurations of the aircraft as possible to see what additional learnings we can ascertain to bring the safest, quietest, most efficient aircraft possible to market.

I just read the post about it on electrek and seeing a modest report about the status is a refreshing alternation to the marketing bla bla of the competition. The rotors in the rear - are they actively driven for take of but act autogiro during flight to minimize wingspan?
