Apart from a very famous patron why do people go ga ga over a hybrid at the end of the day apart from bolting them together Brough manufactured very little of the bikes. Frames were made by a firm called montgomeries the engines were mainly AJS with a few three wheelers with an austin 7 engine so none of it really out of the ordinary.

Excellent video! I run a 1935 Velocette KSS and this looks very similar to my local runs in Kent...although somewhat less frenzied than a 350cc single. I agree with your comments about gearbox and brakes. Keep up the good work!

Hi John, thanks for taking the time to comment and for the words of encouragement. I am not sure if people will watch a long film and only time will tell. Please do share the film with like minded enthusiasts. A KSS is a very fine machine, best regards Paul

I've had my 11-50 for twenty years now and I've been constantly surprised that even on vintage runs how many people have never seen a Brough on the road.

Hi Chris, thanks for watching and taking the time to provide feedback and indeed almost everyone I have met out riding it have never seen a Brough on the road and they all seem to appreciate seeing and hearing one. Best regards Paul.

TWO months ? You have some good friends there. These older bikes are just so beautiful, and that's why I like the look of JANUS bikes, but they are WAY too expensive for what you get, then again maybe I'd try one and it hits the sweet spot at every spot.

What Gorgeous bikes. Each one of them is history on wheels and hard to believe they inspired the Honda CB750, which inspired the world and here were are, millions of fans that love to ride two wheels, or even just look at them. A motorcycle is not only transportation, but moving artwork. The bikes you picked are irresistable.

They are rarely seen on the road, total Brough Superior production was c.3,025 bikes and around 36% of them so around 1,000 still exist of which about 300 are like the bike I am riding. Many are in museums, but the Brough Club is very active and ride them all over the world.

When I collected it and rode it home, it poured with rain on us for 3+ hours. I got drenched and the Brough ran perfectly. After years of getting wet, have finally got some new gear from RUKKA which will keep me dry and cool as I am discovering as it is full of vents. Thanks for commenting and its sunny now, so I popping out on it. All the best Paul.

OOh. I was ready with a narky comment. Then it was so funny. Well done. Has the Triumph got a centrifugal clutch ?
@crashburnfly
@crashburnfly Ай бұрын
It does have a centrifugal clutch - freshly invented and made in the UK by some friends and being thoroughly tested on this Triumph. Ticks over without moving and then a whiff of throttle and it pulls away gently - very clever. Could feature and tell you more in a future film. Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for commenting. Paul.

Hello Paul, Thank you for your posting which I found very interesting and fair … This bike has kept my interest for some considerable time. Like you I found the seller helpful and responsive to deal with. However, is it not strange that the bike comes with a V5 that registers the bike as a BS when it has a replica frame and an engine that was not recorded by the factory ? Thanks I’d be interested to know your thoughts …

How wonderful that this is still running today..... If it could talk what stories could it tell us! These vehicles saw the real Edwardian ladies in their long dresses, they saw the first aeroplane.... And in their lifetime they've also seen space travel. What wonders will they see in future years...?

Well...my Citroën 11 CV isn't that complicated...and i needed to rebuild my transmission, pedal assembly and whole instrumental work... Edit: i needed to do that because an stone the size of an basketball kicked up on the asphalt. It took out the floor, clutch+trans, oilpan, shifter assembly, left front wheel and broke my arm...it was an ton of work to rebuild...

This is why the French word 'chauffeur' (stoker) came to be used for the driver of a car. He would have to light a fire to heat the water which provided steam for many early engines.
