Sorry. I bought one of these and it was garbage. I had to return it after 2 days. Don't waste your money. Buy a used metal trumpet. Horrible product.

Changing the lips with the lip muscles controls the pitch. The air "speed" explanation is just a popular myth. Arching the tongue does NOT increase the flow velocity into the mouthpiece. Tongue movements are related to embouchure manipulations that control the harmonic played. Higher notes do require more air pressure to play depending on the efficiency of the player and the dynamics as well.

You didn't apply valve oil, I noticed. I've seen videos saying 'no valve oil' and also 'synthetic valve oil' and also 'plain old valve oil'. Which is it? Having a hell of a time with valves that stick every time. This on a pTrumpet. I have an Allora also, and valves work fine. H E L P!

You can use some generic valve oil like blue juice and it should work

Wondering why the recommendation is to apply the valve oil with a towel instead of directly from the bottle.

Filing down the separation mark that runs around near the top of the pistons seemed to help a lot. Used a nail file, one that some nail clippers have inside of them, and filed down till I could barely feel that line, then polished with toothpaste.

This video should be removed and a better one put here by pTrumpet. It is clear there is a major design flaw. First, the valve casings are not properly smoothed or moulded with enough precision, and the cap is extremely stiff to move. The valve seals on the cap actually making the sticking worse. The springs are WOEFULLY WEAK. I cannot believe this instrument had such poor quality control. The valve casings need to be carefully shimmed so the movement is completely smooth. The springs need to be at least twice as strong. A pity as when the valves do occasionally work the sound is pretty good for plastic.

OK, I have found the Ultimate Solution. This has been bugging me for weeks. I am out the country for months with a new Ptrumpet to take on my travels and the sticky valve situation has rendered it useless. After much "working it in" cleaning, trying oiling, cleaning again, working it in though hundreds of presses by using my other fingers to push the valves back up rather than springs, nor luck. I came to the conclusion I had no playable trumpet. In the depths of this depression I thought, hang on, I need to sand down the piston and cylinder very very slightly. What better to do this than TOOTHPASTE! SO, I used a small blob (1/4 of a pea), put it all over the valve, inserted, and moved the valve in and out with my finger under neath and in the playing position. I move the valve in and a lot! I have no idea how many but let's say at least a hundred. Removed the valve, cleaned both the inside and the piston with a dry cloth, put it back in and repeated the process, 2 more times. I did this for each valve. After all three have had the toothpaste treatment, I gave the valve casing and pistons a rinse. As I did this I thought, I can not mix up the valves up anymore now they have there own specific wearing in micro sanding session. I dried everything and Walah. I now have fast, responsive valves that are not too far off my Strad! Good luck, and thank you. 🤓

Trumpet players need to get their head out of their arses sometimes. "Doesn't sound anything like a brass trumpet!" Yeah, maybe because it's not made of fucking brass!
