Great video. I've got a kegerator in the garge and was looking to do something similar in the garden but this makes much more sense.

Please tell me more about those inline flow control devices, that's the sleekest solution I've ever seen. Does it have enough to reduction for use with an admittedly unbalanced short draw system?

I use a 4 line Cornelius chiller. I didn’t want to leave a fridge running all the time, I can turn this on and in less than an hour it’s down to 5 degrees. I found mine on marketplace for £100

One other use for a chiller would be to cool the feed to your wort chiller so you use less water and can chill to lager pitch temps in summer.

Really informative and useful video, thanks :) If I'm taking say lager from a fermenter (all rounder) then I use a temp twister hooked up to a Icemaster G20.1 glycol chiller to lower it to a good pouring temperature. If however I'm going to use a corney keg then I'm going to use a ferminator with my homemade version of there plug and pour. I can fit three kegs in it (plus a co2 cylinder) and cool them down overnight ready for serving the next day.

I have a "smegorator" a 2nd hand smeg fridge which works for me, happy to just have a couple of kegs on tap and suits well for the space i have, but i can see the benefit of having a pub chiller if you have the space. Are you not seeing any downside of storing your hoppy beers warm before flash chilling it? Everyone seems to bang on about the need to keep hoppy beers chilled at all times..

Great video and informative as ever Mark, thank you for the time and effort in making these. For me you have just solved a mystery. I've recently bought off ebay a dual Strongbow / Dark fruit tap and wondered what the extra two black tubes coming out of the bottom besides the dispense lines where for? And now I know!! Cheers 😊🍻

I put ball lock posts on the coupler and that way you can just use the spear without having to buy the adapter. I still take the spear out for cleaning. You can use the prv on the coupler to vent the keg with no fear of old beer/cider gushing out

To get the characteristics of both don't dual pitch, one will likely dominate. Just use the most under-utilized technique in the history of homebrewing (and probably craft brewing), blend! Just choose how much you want of each post-fermentation or even post-carbonation and cooling, it doesn't even have to be a 50-50 split. Save yourself that second tap, and keep wheat beer on one twice as long :)

Great review! I've already got the cip and a Brewzilla gen 4. I was considering the Enzybrew cleaner after watching the malt miller video, but the recommended temperature was a bit high for cleaning PET fermenters, so that put me off. But after seeing this I will definitely buy some for deep cleaning the Brewzilla and counterflow chiller. 🍻🍻

Don't be too embarrassed commercial breweries use heavier duty cleaning chemicals like caustic to do the same job and that stuff is rough to work with :)

I used enzybrew 10 and the Kegland CIP for the first time on my G30 the other week and it's such a time and effort saver with better results at the end of it. At the end of fermentation I'll sit the fermzilla in the top of the G30 and go again. I really hated cleaning the Fermzilla, so this little red spinny friend is just amazing. I used 10 litres but seeing what you've done with 6, I think I'll go the same way. Thanks very reading!
