A few Strats to consider: You can go back to the turtle shop and buy a sea tea or two. Drinking it heals 10 hp and increases your speed for the battle. I think it will stack a few times too. You can also buy Icicles back in snowden town. you can use them twice and they heal 11hp each use. There is also a frying pan weapon that you missed in Hotland. If you go back for that, it does less damage than the dagger (but more than the ballet shoes) but all items heal at +4hp. Also stained apron armor heals 1 hp every other round if you still have it. Not sure if better to have more defense or the one every other turn healing. If you really want to you can go back to temmie village and grind using the dog residue and duplicating it over and over again and selling the duplicates. If you put Temmie Shop to Colleg she will learn to sell a powerful armor. Good Luck!

This has my another favourite little misfit detail about the whole Monster kingdom lore and propaganda: the Asriel myth. They share this entire tragic story of Asriel that feeds into the old trope of "humans are the real monsters" and in the moment makes the whole "war" feel justified, conveniently right before you can see the six bodies of the people Asgore has killed already. But how would they know that story? The story makes Asriel this noblr martyr, as if the storyteller knows his facial expressions and thoughts, but the Monsters can't see beyond the Barrier (or, you know, Undyne wouldn't rely on washed up anime as a source of information), and Asriel collapsed right as he entered the Castle which is straight on the other side of the Barrier. Even if he shared some final words, which would be a huge thing to gloss over in this touching story, "he just smiled" is a clear embellishment. From the POV of Asgore, Asriel took the soul and the body of the human, crossed the barrier and a little later returned mortally wounded and perished. It's a propaganda story born out of a grieving parent who lost two children in a day and was trying to rationalize it, find some kind of reason or point to it. And think about it not as a game, but as a scenario - a scary looking (according to the wall plank a monster that took a human soul looks unsettling) monster carrying a dead child's body strolls into a mountainside town and people assume it killed the kid - would people them attack it? Would pedestrians rush a killer bear? Hell nah, people would scatter, lock their doors and call the police or animal control. Maybe they had like hunters, but it wouldn't be a scenario of Asriel nobly standing there taking blows and refusing to retaliate, he'd be shot at. This story even only works because monsters don't know how human world works, like you get to have random encounters like with the monsters. And if you think "oh, couldn't the story be retold because of spoilers" no, I don't think the timeline of events works out like that, but regardless of that, Asgore is not aware of that factor and Asgore is the one who declares the "war" - to bring some semblance of hope to the kingdom and to have some kind of "mission" after losing his family.

There's nothing in the game that suggests the story of Asriel is embellished. Your interpretation is contradicted by things we haven't seen in Liz's playthrough so I won't mention them here, but I suggest you check the Undertale dialogue dump.

@@demilung Major spoilers ahead. Undertale is a very important story to me, so I'm sorry if this is too much. Asriel restates in his dialogue that his decision to not kill humans after crossing the barrier led to his death, and is the reason the barrier is left standing. The entire story of Undertale rests on these events. If Asriel went through with the plan on the video tape and killed humans, he would have returned with souls and there would be no barrier. If the humans didn't attack Asriel, he would be alive and Flowey would not exist. The part that's left out of the story told by the monsters in New Home is the plan to acquire souls, which Asgore was not a part of, as evidenced on the video tape. There's no room for an alternative series of events when everything is considered. Asriel returned from the village covered in sticky seeds from flowers that grew in the human village, wounded, and smiling. That's how Asgore and Toriel knew what happened, even if Asriel said nothing between the barrier and the throne room.

Asgore in LV 1 is awful really get max money and buy every heal you can he's so hard when i play for the first time, so be filled of determination liz, because the nightmare are hasn't even start, and you will never wake up. 😈

Gotta say Liz, you've really leveled up as a gamer! From memorizing Mettaton's attack order and clutching the final turn with 1HP, to fighting against Asgore and his pesky flames, and still refusing to give up! And even adopting the gamer motto of "just one more run"... That's our queen! Stay determined, Liz. Get some rest and come back STRONG. I know next time, you'll defeat Asgore and make it back home.
