I almost had to do the same thing but my rings were rusted to the cylinder I had to use an ankle grinder to cut them off

Never seen the engine seal attached to the engine tin, opposed to the seal attached to the metal that surrounds the engine.

This is a sweet build! Where do the 2 oil lines go that are routed over top of the fan shroud? Is there a remote oil cooler?

The 2 oil lines run a continues coil that goes towards the fan, within the housing

No one has asked the HP yet? Anything different other than the carbs? Tell us about it please. As I recall, Mr. Okrassa also made a kit of two, two barrel sidedraft carbs for a water pumper VW.

These okrasa 1300 makes around 45- 50hp give or take ... carbs are solex 32 pbic carbs these carbs came/ come with the kit in which came from the 1950s .Wolfsburg west sells these 1950s okrasa replica heads/ carbs /engine kits till today ...joe ruiz aka mr. okrasa is not the orginal maker of these okrasa engines hes a vw 25hp/36hp / okrasa/denzel/ porsche 356 preA engine builder in which he uses the mr.okrasa name as his nick name...he builds some of the beautiful down to detail rare engines.. this okrasa and mr.okrasa only share the name okrasa but they are not the same persons ..alot of folks think they see an okrasa engine they think of mr.okrasa .. but they are not the same joe ruiz / mr.okrasa happens to build his favorite engines and took the nick name of that engine okrasa/ mr.okrasa...

I built a Wolfsburg west okrasa 1400cc and one cylinder on each side is cold tell I rev it up is there a reason why one cylinder gets more gas on these carbs at idle is it normal im wondering if the idle jet is off to one side. I can pull plug wires and no change in rpm tell I rev it up but going down the road runs strong seams to idle fine to

Pre-A engine sounds and look much like a Beetle 1200 engine. :) How much parts they share?
