I would not recommend using an eraser wheel for removing pin stripes or decals on trucks, some people have great luck, but it’s luck of the draw, I bought a 3 mm eraser wheel off Amazon, I used it for removing a pin stripe, well the second it touched my truck, the eraser is almost as if it melted and stuck to my truck like tar, but worse, I’ve tried everything trying to get the eraser wheel residue off and the pin stripe off, here it is a week later and still can’t get it wiped clean and cleared up, I’ve tried everything, goo gone, residue remover, alcohol, buffing, hand sanitizer, I’m going to try a heavy duty clay bar next, but I feel it’s a waste of more money, those eraser wheels can have a bad outcome, be careful using them, it wasn’t as simple as people made it seem, and I was going at low speed, I had barely touched the truck, so I know I didn’t burn it or anything else.

So, I used your technique on mine and it still didn't come off easy. I Tried spinning the disconnect tool 360 degrees around the joint while it was inserted and also pushing the joint together and pulling it apart and it finally broke loose. If anyone else out there has one that's really stuck maybe this technique will help.

Ive had pulling to the right problems since installing Thuren a couple years ago. I went by their specs to align and went a little more and less to see if it changed any. I’ve been to several shops to see if they can help. I finally called Carli to see about changing to a different system. Super nice guys and they stated it’s common with these trucks but they have a stabilizer that uses pressure to counter the pulling that works with their kit. So as soon as I get a chance I’ll be getting this Thuren stuff off and going a different route.

The weird trick I’ve always done is sit in front of the wheel real close with my legs spread open and u put both my feet under each side of the tire and I pick up with both my feet (heels on the ground) and my arms at he same time and guide it on lol

Mine didn’t come with the castle nut. Only the bolt, and it’s brand new. It’s not even listed on the parts list diagram. I’m buying a Festool. Their tools come functioning out of the box without fussy phantom parts.

People are stuck in the old days with 3, 4, and 5 speed transmissions with 31 inch tires. They automatically think it will kill fuel mileage. When you have a diesel with 800 to 1000 ft pounds of tq yes you can go higher gear. But with a gas you have to put more gear to compensate the lower tq. I ordered 4.30s in my 7.3 gas with a 10 speed. I am 2000 rpms at 70 mph with 34 inch tires. It does great and really pulls hard for a gasser.

ended up going with a progress hybrid soapstone. Hopefully offset the cost of propane usage for the whole house in a few years. Have a great hookup for cheap dry hardwood (amish wood working supplier) the wood is cut into small logs and moveable sizes. Super excited for it to be done! looked at pellet stoves, but the thought of lifting pellets upstairs to heat the room (bi level home) didnt seem to fun. The wood stove will be in the basement next to a intake register for the furnae to help move heat. Great video and points to consider!

Thanks so much for posting this. Yesterday was my first time using a new SpinRX and a brand new, longer anchor rope. I use my drift boat on rivers and lakes, yesterday I was on a lake, and after dropping the anchor only 3-4 times in up to 12' of water the system became completely unusable due to rope twist. Today I added a close variant of your system. Less than $10 and 15 minutes of time. Thanks again.

SpinRX (Zigco) actually makes a couple solutions for this, although they aren't as cheap as the swivel snap hook you show. Look for the "SpinRX Anchor arm swivel" or they also have just a swivel that is similar to their swivel pulley but without the pulley and hinge.

I had the 2016 Laramie 1500 and it had the dual front buckets with the center console. I now have the 2019 Bighorn Cummins. It has the bench seat. I like the bench seat . When I back my RV in at home, I like to have the left side close to the wall. I can pop up the arm rest and easily slide over to the right side or vis a versa. The fixed console in the 2016 made it very difficult.
