Grew up in these bits, seen many madness in albany park. Had armed response pin us to the floor with machines. Think I’m a little older then pokey though, used to be mad in the island village and at lock. Glad I grew up tho still 😅

Firstly as a former resident, I can tell you gentrification is a great thing. The parks used to have nitties shooting up and leaving their syringes there. A whole load of pasa pasa. Even to this day you still hear of a shooting like yesterday a man shot dead at a cookout at Emslie Horniman's Pleasance Park. There are a lot of GMs in the council estates who are agents of chaos. If I could I would shut off Notting Hill Carnival because it's a honey pot for GM's and 304s. Literally saw people having sex on a car hood. The smarter residents board up their houses and leave for the weekend due to lack of trust. Also Portebello is a tourist destination as it has antiques and the Notting Hill movie bookshop. If anyone had a head on their shoulders which some do they would start a business trying to make money from the traffic. It isn't hard to open up a Caribbean restaurant in Portobello and share culture and food but I haven't seen one. Saying England has no culture is a moot point when it's the genesis of your channel.

Not sure about now, but in the 90s, Bristol was the crack capital of the UK, same with coke.

I dont no why but i love Tower blocks & the brutalist architecture, i live in a High rise on The Thornton Estate in Hull & tbh I've never lived anywhere else with a community feel as strong as in the blocks.. Yes we have issues with crime etc but its only about 5% of the residents that are like that the rest are people just getting on with life as long as your not in a negative lifestyle the Flats really arnt that bad places to live & I always think about how one day it'll be such a shame that all the proper Council flats will be gone so defo very important to document these area's so keep up the great work 👍👍

Farm is pretty much vacant tbh especially since they started knocking the blocks down it used to be active like Church Road believe it or not up until the riots or maybe 1-2 years after until most of the yardies moved out the ends or got shifted. But yh only place you still see bare man outside is few places in NW & Brum

Everywhere’s got its good and bad some places have more than others coming from London to the Midlands where I live now it’s tiring putting up with jokes like do you got a knife on you of course you do your from London 🙄 there’s more regular people in the hood than there is gangsters but that’s what the media’s gonna focus on and those who have an agenda are gonna focus on.

Had to do gardening at this cemetry whilst on CS. Gorgeous cemetry, seen some lovely headstones there. Met a good bunch of lads, too, some of them with a natural skill for landscaping. Good lads just made a few mistakes in life, and dont we all. It's great to see this young black man shining and making the best of what he has and turning it into a positive. Star in the hood few and far between. Keep on big G 💪

Had my first and last crack pipe in an ockendon bin shed around 2001. Very overrated say no to drugs kids. Had some good Mitsubishi's there tho. Walked into his flat he had a big bag thousands of pills eating them like smarties. This was 2000 time, always been a crazy area for drugs.
