Sorry to say I was unable to find odds anywhere regarding the spawn chance of the deterministic gem mod. It took me two tries before league start and three tries on day 2 of league. I may have been lucky as others have reported it taking them 20 or more. I do hope your luck changes!

I'm using all the scarabs I showcase in the Delirium Scarab section alongside the Scarab of Timelines. If you're still going after your 6th map device slot, however, you can swap out either the Scarab of Monstrous Lineage if you struggle with clear or Scarab of Adversaries if you struggle with single target. It does seems to have high variance, yes. Many people do report the same as you so either I got lucky or they and you were very unlucky. There is no information about spawn rates of these mods on the wiki so either is possible. My runs were 2 attempts in standard and 3 attempts in league. I'm glad you got it by doing Uber lab but not everybody wants to wait until Uber lab to start playing their build, and 15c is a lot for many at league start!

I'm sorry to hear that's your luck. I've heard a great deal of people report high variance with finding that particular font mod. If you are newer to the game, welcome to PoE! Also I'd definitely want to make sure you're aware of the official trade site for checking if your desired gem is available for a few chaos. At this point in the league some of them are easier to just purchase: www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Settlers Coming from somebody who has over 6000 hours in the game it's certainly worth the investment (I'm obviously a bit biased) but long dry stretches of bad rng really are a core part of the game, as are very concentrated lucky streaks!

@@DSJeezy just an update but it took me 67 merc runs to get the two transfigured gems i needed and both came from random rolls. Never did see the option to transfigure a specific gem. And thanks for the advice on the trade site. I find it also to be a great source for new players to get a feel of what is and is not a good item. Still super confusing on some items but overall a great resource. Sub'd

Same deal here. I've spent 4 days only running Merc labs all day and I've never found that option yet. Every transfigured gem is one I don't want...

Sorry you're having trouble mate! I'm not sure which build you're playing but if the fight is really overwhelming for you then might I suggest a damage over time build that you can do a more hit and run style so you can focus on dodging more? Any kind of tanky bleed Glad or maybe even a Brand/totem could be something to look into. Just a thought. Good luck in any case!

@@DSJeezy Im kinda boring tectonic slam rage map obliterator (marauder). In maps it works wonders and screens dissapear no matter the mods (unless reflect xd). On bossing however it sucks, and this particular one sucks the most, as theres no way to regain flasks, ED come from enduring cry. Moreover due to me slacking i found out i forgot to fill panteon so chill immunity will definately help. These waves are chilling so i guess im perma chilled and thus cant get out of the way quick enough. Its just doesnt feel right i kill eater of wordls and even survive the mud but cant survive some refreshing wave :P

Hi and you're welcome! If you are okay with spamming the "Transform a Skill Gem to be a random Transfigured Gem of the same colour" then Cruel is okay and that lab is definitely faster to run. However, the more deterministic "Transform a non-Transfigured Skill Gem to be a random Transfigured version" can only begin appearing in Merciless lab. In Merciless lab you will also always see the first option with only a chance to see the second so you can still run Merc to chip away at it via low random chance. Hope this helps!

@@qutiephoebe2154 If you do want to farm it yourself then yeah that's unfortunately the best way. And yep that's the mod you're looking for. I got really lucky and got it in 2 tries in standard then in 3 tries in league but I've seen many people say upwards of 30 so mileage may vary. Good luck if you keep up trying!

As far as I'm aware nothing has changed with Harvest that would invalidate this strategy. In fact, the QoL of single click harvesting, a sixth map device slot, and currency exchange to resupply scarabs probably make this better than it was before.

@@GlarityHD I'm not sure which ones you mean. The only changes I can see are the league mechanic now being removed from the atlas passive tree. Everything else should be almost the same if not exactly so. If you have a more precise example I can address it.

I'm unaware if they had changed the rarity but I have had others report the same thing. It could just be that you've been quite unlucky or that I was the lucky one as I managed to get it two separate times in two tries and three tries (once in Standard and once on the second day of the league).

@@buddyogun2247 It still is! I got mine in 2 this league but you may have to do more. My test run for the video took 3 but somebody else commented it took them quite a few more tries so it may in fact be weighted differently than I thought.

@@DSJeezy Oh boy do I have a story for you. 5th merc lab, I hit the force. 50/50? Nope, I got a discord messge, got distracted, and clicked the first option. Stunned silence for about 15 seconds. 8 runs later, I hit my Ice Nova on the random 3 of a Twice Blessed Darkshrine. The next lab I did was Uber Lab with a friend, and it gave me the force and hit the 50/50 on the extra ice nova I had in my weapon swap, for a nice 80c to start my day 3 :). Such a rollercoaster of lab emotions.

Ice nova of frostbolts took me 62 lab runs ssf last league...

@@mystoc3995 Each one gets mentioned by name as it appears. They are just all transfigured gems that I figured would either be in demand/easy to acquire via this method. That doesn’t mean they are the only ones, just the ones I could think of.

For sure! I figured at least some people would be wondering how to easily access them with all the guides I saw using them.

I haven't farmed Essence in quite some time. I certainly prefer Harvest to Essence myself but that is exclusively preferential treatment and is in no way based on data. Most of my distaste for Essence is in having to sell them, but perhaps the currency market can address that!

That would certainly get you a lot of monsters to proc altars, but may have pushed the cost higher than I wanted. It's hard to say now as the economy is at a different place. That said I do hope that people use these guides as a jumping off point to further experiment/refine.

@@DSJeezy honestly i liked Wandering Path, Growing Hordes + Harvest Sextant even the increase packsize on corrupted unidentified maps sextant was good

@@DSJeezy Cheaper aswell, On console i was investing 40-50div per 80maps, profiting 110-200divs every 80 maps not including sacred blossoms or white lifeforce
