I am a member of the church ,it makes me happy to see that over there this is hapening ,here in Spain its not the same att all ,so sad for so many people that I know that was in so much need and were not helped ,people who serve missions ,mothers ,old womans....I am very independent ,because that is something that I have learn from good people from this church ,but last year I did lost my job and need it help,I was turned with no help here,I have my testimony ,and never forget the needy ,right now I am blessed with a good job,but I will never forget who was there for me ,😅my true friends , I do believe that, when there is someone who loves those in need and does what she or him can ,there is a true disciple of Jesus Christ. ❤ Thank you for your services and example to us.

If there's one thing I can't stand and tolerate and that is when someone at work deliberately decides to make fun of someone's religious beliefs at work. If someone at work saw a a picture of the Blessed Virgin Mary like Our Lady of Fatima or a Icon of her and a Rosary at my desk and then decided write something on my desk that was offensive and disrespectful and my reaction would be angry and furious and I would confront the person and say to the person, "Now see here, I don't like what you just did to my religious items. Just because you don't believe in what I believe in doesn't give you the right to write anything hurtful and nasty. So you apologize to me."

According to the narration, the group of hymns that were digitally released on May 30 are merely among those being CONSIDERED for the new hymnbook. Sounds like a test run. 🤔

I love this! I just got the opportunity to travel to Guatemala with my son who served a mission there years ago. The sisters there are so wonderful and have so little in the way of worldly things. Thank you for helping us to focus on the needs of women and children across the world!

Why would the church pay such an amount to purchase this building? Because it is not just a building to them, but a temple. They also believe everything that occurred with Jesus and his disciples on the mount of Transfiguration also occurred in the Kirkland Temple. And while we do not have a complete record of all that happened on the mount of transfiguration, we do have a complete record of events in the Kirkland Temple. More significant than Easter Sunday, it was recorded that these events also occurred on the day of the Jewish Passover (Pesach). April 3rd, 1836 is one of the few moments where Pesach and Easter Sunday overlapped. On the day of Passover, those in the Jewish community set a table for the prophet Elijah's return. In the book of Malachi 4:5-6, in reads: "Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord: And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse." The Latter-Day Saints believe this promise was at least partially fulfilled with the appearance of Elijah in the Kirkland Temple to bestow the Keys of authority needed to the work of redemption for those who have passed from this earth without a knowledge of Jesus Christ's Gospel in the temples today. (I say "partially" because I believe that either Elijah or the Lord himself will come to the Jews directly one day to present this gift). When the rest of Christianity says, "I don't know what happens to non-believers after death," or the "non-believers go to hell," the LDS point to what happened at Kirkland and to what is happening in their temples today testifying that everyone will the opportunity to accept Jesus as their Savior. The temples are a standing testament to a Heavenly Fathers eternal love for all his children on earth, whether they know him or not. Also, this was the edifice where they believe Moses appeared to bestow the keys of authority necessary for the spiritual and physical gathering of Israel (missionary work). Is it any wonder that one of these missionaries, Parley P. Pratt was sent to the Holy Land to dedicate it for the physical gathering of the Jewish people? To the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, this building is a big deal.

There is a new complexity introduced in some of the new hymns, like "D.C al coda" and "to coda.” I can't navigate music with that strangeness, so with those pieces I’ve had to stop singing. What used to be plain becomes arcane. As with the rubrics in CFM, the Church seems to have a new romance with involved or academized things. Academic gimmick.

I had the opportunity to tour Welfare Square about 17 years ago. That place is amazing. Not just in the work being done, but all the people working there were so happy, and you could tell they understood the importance of the work they were doing. In contrast, about 10 years later, I was working as an inventory auditor, and I was in a team that spent about a week doing an audit at a government FEMA warehouse. It was very frustrating because it was clear that the workers were generally pretty burnt out, and were constantly griping and complaining and trying to cut corners. I felt like the people at the government warehouse had long since lost track of the importance and purpose of their job, and frankly just didn't care anymore. The representative from New York's comment about how church organizations are much better prepared to do welfare projects than the government is absolutely true, because the people working for church welfare projects (of any denomination) have people working for them who actually are focused on their mission and care about helping others, whereas the government tends to attract and/or create disgruntled workers who just don't care. It is a classic example of the sheep getting watched over by hirelings instead of the good shepherd
