Expensive oil just marketing, which most people fall for it.

Last three oil changes, Walmart didn't have Supertech oil but they had Havoline in 6 qt. cardboard box at a good price. The spout on box oil is standard gallon jug thread and i have an adapter that screws on with a thick 2' clear hose. Don't spill a drop. I keep empty clean qt. Bottles to drain off one qt. (Put in trunk for top off) then fill engine without worries about overfilling. Walmart tripled the price of Motorcraft oil filters, that I always used, so now use Super Tech oil filters. I think there as good as anything available.

Great video, Thankyou.. I understand that with these engines.. Why is it different with a 5.3 ls engine, which is torque to 22ft lbs?

Good oil for port injected engines. Verdict is still out on GDI engines.

Thanks. I have a 98 Buick Century and it's sputtering frequently. The fuel filter has been replaced, spark plugs and wires. 2 coil packs. Cannister purge valve. And new crank shaft sensor. Cpl of these threw codes. I'm praying to replace that regulator, and hopefully fix my issue. You did a great job teaching how to go through it. Thanks!!

Great video I watched this and replaced my water pump. I have no leaking the question I have is how do I know if the clutch fan is on tight enough. I didn’t have to wack it with a hammer or nothing to remove with the tools I rented and saw on forum that the clutch tightens itself but idk how true that is and didn’t want to have a horrible wreck because it came off. The fan turns a lil when I spin it but doesn’t turn a whole 360 by hand and the water pump pulley doesn’t move. I didn’t have torque wrench so I’m just a lil worried if it’s isn’t tight enough it will come off while I’m driving. Your video was great help I just marked the bolts on old pump so I knew where to put certain ones. I drove truck 75 mph on freeway with drove good

Great Vid, the only thing I'd recommend is taking the larger part of the filter cover off (just 1 bolt under that V6 plate. Makes it easier to get to the filter. Also 15/16th socket for the air filter. 1/2" for the oil pan nut. Thanks!

I really liked this video. The video quality was great to see all the internals of the 4T65-E. GM updated that webbed "lube tube" which I've been wanting to see before I went in and did this same job on a 2005 LeSabre I just bought with 32K miles. I'm glad to see the "brass" collar come out as others stuggle with that thing. GM also updated more and stronger magnets which I ordered and I have a new GM filter and gasket (which I may save til next time as I have the factory original in place now and is reusable). I'm going to use the Dexron VI and I also bought a new transmission pan that has a drain plug. I think I'll put a magnetic drain plug replacement in it as well as the metal material that gets attached to a regular magnet is not capable of retaining the volume of material shed and GM warns that other areas may fail if no magnet update. I think it's a TSB announcement for that. Thanks for your video. Well done and excellent quality and narration! I'm locking this in as a favorite and will like and subscribe!
