I was out experimenting with my Anti-Lock brakes for the first time on my first bike a couple days ago in the rain in an empty parking lot. On some asphalt I could give 90% of my strength on the brakes with no lockup and on other parts it would lock up with 10% or less braking Force. It just goes to show the massive variances in traction that can exist on different pavement types and with with different road conditions. All it takes is the tiniest patch of oil or algae to make it an ice patch. How people can ride without anti-lock brakes is crazy.

I have a 2003. All I've done is have a custom seat built, installed a quick shifter, and raised the handlebars 3 1/2 inches up and back. I have a few bikes in the stable, a Ducati Diavel AMG for one, but my go-to typically is the FZ1. The FZ reminds me of a single-seat airplane I used to fly. By the time the thought crossed my mind the airplane had already done it. So too with this Yamaha.

Got the same bike, standard exhaust. Couldn’t agree more, it’s wild a-f but you can have fun within speed limits thanks to the torque.

Hey! I'm curious about the handlebar. I can see that is from Renthal, but witch model exactly? I want to use them on a fzs 600 from 2003
@joedanero536018 күн бұрын
I have both and and the mt07 is a great looking and performing bike. The S1 is a very raw 600 sport bike. It's not as idiot proof.

Have you tried the zx10r gen 4 or 5? I’ve got an 07 ZX6R at the moment that I done up over the winter as a project bike. I can only ride it for an hour before I start to seize up lol - I am old. But, I wonder if the 10 is a lot more comfortable?

How tall are you? Does the bike fit you for your size? I am thinking about buying one of these to start of but the seller was worried about my height and me being to tall. I am 191cm (about 6,2)
@DanTheTwoWheelerАй бұрын
I'm 5ft 11", should be fine for you as well tbh, but best thing is to always go and find one to sit on and see how it feels before buying.

if you use clutch, qs again kill engine?
@ViciousXUSMC26 күн бұрын
I just got a bike that has this, mine is not working because the sensor is not working. But I can tell you from looking at how it works, that its really rudementary. Just an interupt and a sensor. That sensor is based on motion not clutch,so yes it would, but its so brief I cant see it having any impact that "cut" would be during the clutch disengagement anyways. But, there is a bypass mode you can turn on so it does nothing, that might be the piece of mind you want.

I use this bike in school and i love everything about it, the dash, the front, the side, only thing i don't like is the tail, but i can maybe mod it. It's so confy and light and it feels like a honda hornet when riding, due to the dash.

I got one a week ago, you can wait till the last bar starts flashing, think that means you've got about 18 miles of fuel left.
@chins2009Ай бұрын
FIY thatts now how you do MPG check. You fill the tank to brim and then ride around and fill it up again to brim .. miles you rode between fill up divide that with what ever you put in the tank. you will get the true mpg. Also, if you want more mpgs then stay in lower rpms.

Nice, been thinking of getting a xj6 diversion with abs as my first bike (been driving an mt07 and a 750 hornet with my driving school but they pricey). Just one thing that makes me a little bit iffy, do you get used to not seeing what gear you're in?
@codenameFourtySevenАй бұрын
@@valizeth4073 I have been riding for last 20 years nearly (On/off) and I have never seen what gear am in. You just get used to it. If you are really pedantic about it, you can buy that gear indicator and stick it near the gauges.

Really glad it was only small man. I recently had a wreck and fixed up my old faithful today to hit the road again. I’ve got a 15 year old death trap that I daily with no ABS and front dual disk brakes so I definitely understand locking the wheels up. A very heavily modified 2009 Suzuki SFV650, the guy I bought it off was setting it up to be a drag bike but never finished or raced it. it’s just wheel spin city whenever I let off the clutch to start moving in first. Ill post a startup on my channel👌

This just came across my feed. Love how stoked you are over the FZ6! I just bought one right before winter hit, got the chance to ride it once before the snow fell. Think I hit 92mph in 2nd gear. Was definitely smiling ear to ear after that. Can't wait to get an exhaust on her and explore around. Bet it's pretty nice not feeling the need to floor it just about everywhere you went on the 125. Be safe, have fun!
